Oath of Pride History:

Ella's rise to prominence began with her defiance against the established pantheon. Refusing to bow to any god and their new order, she challenged and defeated hundreds of divine beings, earning her the title "Killer of Gods." Her victories were not just battles of strength but also of will and pride. She believed that true divinity came not from worship but from the relentless pursuit of one's own ideals and the refusal to submit to any force, divine or otherwise.

Founding of the Order:

The Oath of Pride was established by the first paladins who were drawn to Ella's unbreakable spirit. These paladins, known as the Pridebound, swore an oath that mirrored Ella's ethos: to never back down, to always stand tall, and to seek greatness in all things. They believed that by embodying Ella's pride, they could achieve feats beyond the reach of ordinary mortals.

The first Pridebound paladins were warriors who had grown disillusioned with the existing orders and their gods. They saw in Ella a kindred spirit, a divine being who did not demand subservience but inspired greatness. These early followers formed a tight-knit order, bound by their oath and their shared reverence for Ella's ideals. They became known for their unyielding courage, their refusal to retreat, and their belief in their own inherent greatness.

The Code of Pride:

The Oath of Pride is more than just a set of principles; it is a way of life. The Pridebound adhere to a strict code that emphasizes self-reliance, unwavering confidence, and the pursuit of personal glory. Their tenets include:

Never Yield: A Pridebound paladin must never back down from a challenge, no matter the odds. To retreat is to betray the essence of pride.

Stand Tall: Confidence and self-assurance are paramount. A Pridebound paladin must always carry themselves with dignity and pride.

Seek Greatness: Complacency is the enemy. The Pridebound are always striving for greater achievements and higher goals, they strive to always be on top.

Defend Honor: Personal honor and the honor of the order must be defended at all costs. Any slight or insult must be met with swift retribution.

Inspire Others: Through their actions and demeanor, Pridebound paladins inspire others to embrace their own pride and potential.

Legacy and Influence:

Throughout the ages, the Oath of Pride has produced some of the most legendary heroes and infamous villains. Their stories are often marked by acts of incredible bravery and, sometimes, reckless ambition. They are respected and feared in equal measure, for a Pridebound paladin is a force to be reckoned with, driven by an inner fire that refuses to be extinguished.

The influence of the Oath of Pride extends beyond the order itself. Many warriors and leaders, even those not formally bound by the oath, find inspiration in Ella's legend and the ideals of the Pridebound. In times of great peril, when hope seems lost, the example of a Pridebound paladin standing firm against all odds can reignite the spirit of an entire army or nation.
