Bard
Base Class: Bard

Bards of the College of Curses specialize in the dark arts of hexes and malevolent enchantments. They blend their music and storytelling with ancient curses and witchcraft, weaving spells that manipulate fate and twist the destinies of their foes. These bards are feared for their ability to turn the tide of battle by cursing their enemies.

Hexing Performance

Imbue your performances with dark magic. When you use your Bardic Inspiration feature, you can choose to give the Bardic Inspiration die to an enemy instead of an ally. This die is called a Hex Die. A creature with a Hex Die is cursed for 10 minutes or until the curse is lifted.

You can use your reaction to activate the Hex Die in the following ways:

  1. Curse of Weak Will: When a cursed creature makes a Wisdom saving throw, you can use your reaction to roll the Hex Die and subtract the number rolled from the creature's saving throw.
  2. Hex of Lethargy: When a cursed creature starts its turn, you can use your reaction to roll the Hex Die. The creature's movement speed is reduced by 5 feet times the number rolled until the end of its turn.
  3. Sapping Curse: When a cursed creature is hit by an attack, you can use your reaction to roll the Hex Die. The damage of the attack is reduced by the number rolled, and the target of the attack is healed by the amount rolled.

Luck Killer

6th-Level College of Curses

Use your reaction to manipulate the fortunes of those affected by your Hex Dice. When a creature with a Hex Die has advantage or an ally has disadvantage on a roll, you can use your reaction to transfer that advantage to another creature within 60 feet that you can see. Alternatively, if both the ally with disadvantage and the enemy with the Hex Die are within 60 feet of you, you can transfer the disadvantage from your ally to the enemy with the Hex Die.

Additionally, when you give a Hex Die to an enemy, you may choose to give an ally a Bardic Inspiration die as well.

Spreading Curse

14th-level College of Curses

Your mastery of curses allows you to spread misfortune even further. When you give a Hex Die to a creature, you can choose up to two additional creatures within 30 feet of the original target. These creatures also receive a Hex Die.

If a target with a Hex Die dies and the die is unspent, it splits and goes to two additional enemies within 30 feet of the target. These new targets receive a Hex Die of the same size.
