Monk
Base Class: Monk

Disciples of Ribbons must master "The Dance", an intricate performance using strips of a special "Iron Cloth" which can cut the user if not careful. They train to use these ribbons as an extension of their body in this dance. These are wrapped around the users body like bandages in such a complicated fashion that they can not be removed from the user's body except unless they willingly unravel them in a process taking ten minutes. However, if they come into contact again with the ribbon-user, they instantly wrap around the body again.

Trained Dancer

You gain proficiency in Performance if you do not already have it.

Iron Ribbons

Starting at 3rd level, you gain the ability to use your ribbons rather than fists for unarmed strikes. Your Ribbon Strikes deal slashing damage and have a range of 10 feet which increases as you level up (10ft level 3, 15 at level 6, 30 at level 11, 60 at level 17). You can also use them as flurry of blows, including the grapple and push options.

Steel Serpent

As you improve your craft, you begin to be able to influence your ribbons in intricate ways. At 6th level, you gain a few abilities from your training with the Iron Cloth.

Trip. When you take an opportunity attack with your ribbons or unarmed strike, you have the option to have them roll a Dexterity saving throw or be prone.

Snag. You gain the ability to use your ribbons to pull things in from up to 30 feet from you. As an action, you can freely pull an object that weighs up to 15 lbs. to you. You can also pull a target that is grapple-able 30 feet towards you if they fail a strength saving throw.

Enhanced Grapple

At 6th level, you start to learn how to use your ribbons to assist your grapples. The size of creature that you can grapple increases each time you gain a subclass feature from here on (2 sizes larger than you at 6th level, 3 sizes at 11th, and 4 sizes at 17th).

Silken Shred

At level 11, you learn how to maximize the pain caused by your Iron Ribbons. By raveling and quickly unraveling these silks over a body, they cause deep lacerations. If your have grappled an enemy, you may use an action and 5 Focus points to shred them, dealing 8d10 slashing damage and removing the grappled condition.

Master of the Dance

By level 17, you have gained total mastery over the Dance of Ribbons. For 5 Focus Points as an action, you can begin to dance in an intricate pattern, spreading the flowing ribbons in a 30 foot area around you. Anyone who enters or ends their turn within the area of effect of your choice must succeed against a grapple check or be grappled. You can grapple an amount of creatures up to your proficiency bonus in this way. Additionally, you may use the Silken Shred action against a grappled creature as a bonus action for 2 focus points.
