Oath of Justice

Like paladins who have take the Oath of Devotion, the Oath of Justice binds a paladin to the much of the same ideals: justice, virtue, and order. However, the Oath of Justice paladins differ in that they are divinely bound by the laws of the kingdom, city, village or hamlet in which they find themselves.  Their oath gives them intimate understanding of the law.  A paladin who finds themselves in Jalor, for example, knows that the laws are unjust, but their oath to Tyr and to justice means they will, if called upon, adjudicate a matter as specified by local laws.  Even if they laws favor one party over another.  With that being said, if they are not adjudicating a matter, they will attempt to sway leaders to make changes that allow for equality before the law.  In areas where chaos reigns, they will do their utmost to protect the weak and downtrodden.  Those who swear this oath, are devoted to Tyr and make up the entirety of the Order of Tyr's Hammer.

Tenets of Justice

The exact words and strictures of the Oath of Justice vary with the Order's leadership or, less often, when a new Holy Coran is crowned.  Nevertheless, all versions of this oath share these tenets.

Fairness. Be attentive to all arguments. The lowest of society's children and the highest have equal value before the law.

Piety. Be in service to others before Tyr. Those in need of help receive it without question.

Discern the Truth. A situation is always more complicated than it seems, be not fooled by lies or false evidence.

Courage. Never fear to act, though caution is wise.

Honor. Treat others with fairness, and let your honorable deeds be an example to them. Do as much good as possible while causing the least amount of harm.

Duty. Be tireless in your pursuit of the corrupt. Your duty to the law demands it.

Channel Divinity

When you take this oath at 3rd level, you gain the following two Channel Divinity options.

Preemptive Protection. You can use your channel divinity to protect creatures from damage they have not taken yet. As a bonus action, you present your spellcasting focus and choose a number of willing creatures within 30 feet of you (this can include yourself) equal to your proficiency bonus, creating protective wards over each of those creatures for 1 minute. The wards have a number of temporary hit points equal to your paladin level + your Charisma modifier.

Pronounce Judgement. You can use your channel divinity to proclaim divine punishment into being. When you take the Attack action, you can forgo one of your attacks to expend a spell slot of 1st level or higher and force each creature of your choice in a 20-foot cone to make a Dexterity saving throw. A creature takes 1d8 radiant damage on a failed save, plus an additional 1d8 damage per level of the slot expended. On a successful save, a creature takes only half the damage. Fiends and undead have disadvantage on this saving throw.
