Sorcerer
Base Class: Sorcerer

You wield the magic of a powerful Curse from the Feywild. Perhaps your parents agreed to give up their firstborn or you made a wish to a fairy godmother that didn't go as planned.

The power of the curse placed is bound with some tangible effect. This curse cannot be removed so long as you carry this magic within you. Some Fey-Crossed sorcerers explore purely to find a way to be rid of their curse. At your option, you can pick from or roll on the Sorcerer Curses table to create a curse for your character.

Fey-Crossed Sorcerer Curses
d6 Curse
1 You draw the ire of birds who always seem to want to peck at your face.
2 Your face is vaguely frog-like and you have a taste for flies.
3 Your hair grows far too quickly and cutting it is a daily activity.
4 You look either far too young or far too old for your actual age.
5 Objects sometimes anthropomorphize around you and begin singing.
6 Your shadow has a mind of its own and often acts mischievously while you aren't looking

Level 3: Faerie Spells

When you reach a Sorcerer level specified in the Faerie Spells table, you thereafter always have the listed spells prepared.

Faerie Spells
Sorcerer Level Spells
3 Faerie Fire, Ray of Enfeeblement, Silence, Sleep, Vicious Mockery
5 Bestow Curse, Hypnotic Pattern
7 Confusion, Polymorph
9 Contagion, Modify Memory

Level 3: Jinx

Your curse allows you to inflict others with a spark of misfortune. When a creature you can see within 60 feet of yourself makes an Attack Roll or Ability Check, you can take a Reaction to roll 2d4 and subtract the number rolled from the creature's roll, potentially turning the success into a failure.

You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Charisma modifier (minimum of once), and you regain all expended uses when you finish a Long Rest.

Level 6: Protective Curse

You begin to learn the nature of your curse to create ones of your own design. As a Magic action, you can expend 1 to 5 Sorcery Points to create a magical curse to protect yourself. The curse is represented by a spell from the Faerie Spells with a level equal to the number of Sorcery Points spent (1 sorcery point if the spell is a cantrip). When a creature you can see hits you with an attack or forces you to make a saving throw within the next minute, you can use your reaction to target that creature with the spell. The spell takes effect only on the target, even if it can normally target others.

Level 14: Cursed Transformation

You learn to embrace the curse and change into a monstrous form. As a Bonus Action, you can cast Polymorph on yourself, becoming a beast or monstrosity with a CR equal to your Proficiency Bonus. You are able to speak in this form, but you cannot cast spells even if the creature has it as an innate feature.

Once you use this feature, you can’t use it again until you finish a Long Rest unless you spend 5 Sorcery Points (no action required) to restore your use of it.

Level 18: Cursemaker

You weave curses with the proficiency of the fey that made you who you are. The Protective Curse feature no longer requires your reaction to trigger the spell. In addition you can apply the curse to an object or willing creature you touch. A creature or object can be under the effects of one Protective Curse at a time. The curse lasts until dispelled or the number of curses exceeds your Charisma Modifier, at which point the oldest curse is dispelled.

A creature that suffers the effects of a spell as a result of your Protective Curse gains some cosmetic curse as seen on the Curses table on this subclass or some other of your design (up to the GM's Discretion). This curse lasts until the Remove Curse or Wish spell is used to end it.
