Druid
Base Class: Druid

Druids of the Circle of Moss often hail from war-torn or otherwise ravaged regions of the world. In the tragedies their land has faced, they find purpose in saving the spark of life, and by understanding and becoming one with the latent power of regrowth, druids of the Circle harness the power to create something from almost nothing, revitalizing landscapes and communities wherever they go.

Level 3: Circle of Moss Spells

Your familiarity and harmony with pioneer species and your ability to draw from the pool of resilience they possess grants you access to certain spells.

At 3rd, 5th, 7th, and 9th level you gain access to the spells listed for that level in the Circle of Moss Spells table below. Once you gain access to one of these spells, you always have it prepared, and it doesn't count against the number of spells you can prepare each day. If you gain access to a spell that doesn't appear on the druid spell list, the spell is nonetheless a druid spell for you.

Druid Level Circle Spells
3 Aid, Absorb Elements, Chill Touch
5 Beacon of Hope
7 Death Ward
9 Wall of Stone

Level 3: Cultivated Land

At 3rd level, you have learned how to emulate the cultivating properties of moss, reprocessing the area around you to give those less hardy than you a better chance at success. As a bonus action, you can tap into this mossy power, expending a use of Wild Shape to create a circle around you with a radius of ten feet that lasts for 10 minutes. Within this circle, any healing spells cast by Friendly creatures heal additional hit points equal to your Wisdom modifier. You may use this ability once per long rest.

Level 6: Epilithic Adhesion

At 6th level, the tenacity of lichen is a property you have come to know extensively. As an action, you may manifest magical lichen on parts of your clothes, armor, and skin. This lichen sticks to rock, and as such your climbing speed on rock or rocky terrain becomes equal to your regular walking speed. You also may keep your hands free, although it reduces your climbing speed to zero. This ability lasts for 10 minutes, and can be used twice per long rest.

Level 10: Resilient Growth

At 10th level, your ability to endure hardship has truly merged with your studies of nature, and as a result, you now emanate a constant aura of strength and care. Cultivated Land’s effects are now passive, and always apply. In addition, its radius now extends to twenty feet, and it heals hit points equal to your Constitution modifier alongside those already given by your Wisdom modifier.

Level 14: Lichenous Return

In some grave circumstances, it must be acknowledged that some creatures would do more good by returning to the earth than continuing to live. Although a sobering realization, at 14th level this precept has consummated your practice of Druidry into a monumental force. As an action, you concentrate the decomposing force of the undergrowth onto one individual, who must make a Constitution saving throw with Disadvantage against your spell save DC. If the target fails the save, moss and lichen start to rapidly consume them, dealing 8d8 damage immediately and on each of their turns after until they fall to 0 hit points. This ability cannot be nullified, except by a healing spell cast at 7th level or higher. You may use this ability once per long rest.
