Fighter
Base Class: Fighter

A noble knows when and how to uphold one's honor when aggravated. They do so in a duel: a one-on-one fight where both participants strike to defend their dignity and prove their skill in combat.

Compel Duel

At 3rd level, you learn the Compelled Duel spell. Its spellcasting ability is Intelligence, Wisdom or Charisma, which you choose when you gain this feature.

You can use this spell an equal number of times equal to your spellcasting ability modifier, which you regain on a long rest. You can also use this spell using the appropriate spell slots, if you have any.

Improved Duelist

At 7th level, you gain a +1 bonus to attack rolls and damage rolls when you are wielding a weapon in one hand and no other weapons on the other. This effect stacks with the Dueling fighting style.

Additionally, when an enemy is under the effects of a Compelled Duel spell that you cast, you gain +2 AC,  and taking damage does not break your concentration on the spell.

Duelling Weapons Master

At 10th level, you can wield many weapons as if they have the Finesse property. The weapons must not have the Heavy or Two-Handed property, and must not be ranged weapons. When attacking with a weapon with the Versatile property, they deal damage as if they are used with both hands.

Aggressive Duelist

Starting at 15th level, the damage dice of your finesse weapons are d10s unless it is higher. At 18th level, they become d12s.

Resilient

At 18th level, you have become a formidable duelist. When you get reduced to 0 HP by an enemy affected by your Compelled Duel spell, you regain 1 HP at the end of their turn. You also gain one extra turn which starts immediately after the enemy ends their turn.

You can only use this feature once per long rest.
