Base Class: Barbarian
Barbarians who follow the Path of the Bloodthirster embrace a relentless fury fueled by the life essence of their foes. These warriors are feared for their insatiable bloodlust and their ability to siphon vitality from enemies, turning battles into a frenzied dance of life and death.
Level 3: Hematophagy
At 3rd level, when you adopt this path, you gain the ability to draw life force from your enemies. While you are raging, when you deal damage to a hostile creature with a melee weapon attack, you can regain hit points equal to half your Barbarian level (rounded up). You can use this feature once per turn and a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus. You regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest.
Level 3: Blood Frenzy
Also at 3rd level, your rage intensifies into a blood frenzy, enhancing your combat abilities:
•Frenzied Assault: When you use Reckless Attack while raging, you deal extra damage equal to your Rage Damage bonus on melee weapon attacks.
•Unstoppable Advance: Your movement speed increases by 10 feet while you are raging.
Level 6: Head Rush
At 6th level, you gain the ability to close gaps with terrifying speed. As a bonus action while you are raging, you can move up to your speed toward a creature you can see. This movement doesn’t provoke opportunity attacks. If you end this movement within 5 feet of the target, you can make one melee weapon attack against it as part of this bonus action.
You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Strength modifier (minimum of once), and you regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest.
Level 10: Chilling Scream
By 10th level, you can unleash a terrifying scream that rattles your foes. As an action, you emit a blood-curdling scream in a 30-foot cone. Each creature in that area must make a Wisdom saving throw (DC = 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Constitution modifier). On a failed save, a creature takes 4d6 psychic damage and is frightened of you until the end of your next turn. On a successful save, the creature takes half as much damage and isn’t frightened.
Once you use this feature, you can’t use it again until you finish a short or long rest.
Level 14: Certain Death
At 14th level, you can single out a foe for annihilation. As a bonus action, choose one creature you can see within 60 feet. For the next minute, you gain the following benefits against that creature:
•Focused Fury: You have advantage on attack rolls against the target.
•Vengeful Strikes: Once per turn, when you hit the target with a melee weapon attack, you deal extra damage equal to your Rage Damage bonus.
•Resilient Hunter: You have resistance to the first instance of damage dealt by the target each turn.
While this feature is active, you are compelled to focus your attacks on the designated target. You are not forced to move toward it, but you strive to defeat it above all else.
Once you use this feature, you can’t use it again until you finish a long rest.
