Base Class: Monk

Monks who follow the Way of the Rubber Devil gain incredible elasticity and strength through their connection to their ki, allowing their bodies to stretch, contort, and unleash devastating techniques. These monks are unrelenting and imaginative fighters, always finding creative ways to adapt and overcome obstacles.

Elastic Body

Level 3: Elastic Body

When you adopt this tradition at 3rd level, your body gains incredible elasticity through your ki. You gain the following abilities:

  • Stretch and Strike: Your melee weapon attack reach increases by 5 feet. At 6th level, this reach increases to 10 feet. At 11th level, it increases to 15 feet. At 15th level it increases to 20 feet. At 20th level it increases to 25 feet
  • Elastic Defense: You gain resistance to bludgeoning damage. If you use Patient Defense and spend 1 ki point to take the disengage and dodge actions, you also have resistance to all damage until the beginning of your next turn.

Gum-Gum Techniques

Level 6: Gum-Gum Techniques

At 6th level, your control over your elastic body grows, allowing you to unleash iconic techniques:

Gum-Gum Gatling

You can unleash a flurry of elastic strikes. As an action, you can spend 1 ki point per attack to make a number of unarmed strikes equal to half your level in this class rounded up.

Gum-Gum Rocket

You can use your arms to propel yourself like a slingshot. As an action, you can spend 2 ki points to launch yourself up to 120 feet and deal 1D4x your level in this class Bludgeoning damage to any object or creature you hit.

Gum-Gum Battle-Axe

You can raise your foot high into the sky and unleash a powerful stomp. As an action, you can spend 3 ki points to stomp the ground sending rocks smashing forward in a 30-foot cone dealing 2d4x your level in this class bludgeoning damage.

 

Gear Techniques

Level 11: Gear Techniques

At 11th level, you can channel your ki to unleash devastating elastic techniques. As a bonus action, you can spend 3 ki points to enter a powered-up state, choosing one of the following effects for 1 minute:

  • Gear Second: Your body goes into overdrive. Your movement speed increases by 30 feet, and Your AC increases by 2.
  • Gear Third: Your limbs become massive. Once per creature per turn when you hit a creature with an unarmed strike, you can force them to make a Strength saving throw. On a failure, they are knocked prone and pushed 15 feet away. On a success they are pushed 15 feet away. Your attacks score a critical hit on a d20 roll of 19 or 20.

Gear Fourth

Gear Fourth

As an action, you can spend 5 ki points to enter Gear Fourth for 1 minute. While in this state:

  • Your unarmed strikes deal an additional 1d8 force damage.
  • Your size increases to Large.
  • You gain a flying speed equal to your walking speed, propelling yourself through the air with elastic force.
  • You can use Stunning Strike without spending ki points.

When Gear Fourth ends, you gain 1 level of exhaustion.
