Tenets Of the Sun

The tenets of the Oath of The Sun drive a paladin to be hope for those who are lost. They seek to empower and bolster others, based off their hubris. 

Shine Bright. Strive to be the best at whatever you do. 

Shine Brighter than others. Never let anyone be better at you than something. 

Champion the weak. Help those that

Set your heart ablaze. You must marshal the discipline to overcome failings within yourself that threaten to dim the glory of you and your friends.

Level 3 - oath of the sun spells

 note: Fount of Moonlight is not in the SRD. If using DnD Beyond then use Conjure Minor Elemental (homebrew it to make it less broken). Otherwise use Fount of Moonlight. 

Level 3: Channel Divinity

When you take this oath at 3rd level, you gain the following two Channel Divinity

Sun's Shine

A protective bright lights emanated from your body in a 10ft radius. use a bonus action to channel your divinity. creatures of your choice (up to your charisma modifier) enters the Emanation or ends its turn there, the creature must make a constitution saving throw. On a failed save, the creature takes Radiant damage equal to your paladin level plus proficiency bonus.  On a successful save, the creature takes half as much damage. A creature makes this save only once (damage they take is the damage they took for the rest of the emanation. Emanation ends when the user is incapacitated/unconscious or after 10 minutes.

Level 3: Oath of the Sun Spell List

You gain oath spells at the paladin levels listed in the Oath of Faith and Flame Spells table. See the Sacred Oath class feature for how oath spells work.

Level 7: Sun's Warmth

The sun's heat invigorates your body. You and your allies gain a boost to your armor class equal to your charisma score (minimum of 1) when they are in your aura of protection.

Level 15: Sun's Wrath

The wrath of the sun is upon your enemies. Whenever a creature within your sun's aura misses you or a friendly creature, you can use a reaction to make a melee attack against that creature within range.

Level 20: Sun's Awakening

Your shine has dramatically improved and taken new properties. Along with its usual abilities, you gain the following ability

 

  • temporary hit points equal to twice your paladin level plus charisma (minimum of 1).
  • Advantage on attack rolls against hostile creatures within your aura

Once you use this feature you can't use it again until you finish a long rest.
