Base Class: Monk
The path of a Warrior of Iron and Air is not one someone takes lightly. Having been trained and taught in the great monastery of (TBD), they are the sworn protectors. The monastery pays homage to the Princess of Elemental Air, Char. Char bestows their immense power to only those who she deems worthy. This is the only known place to train as a Warrior of Iron and Air.
Focused Potential of Wind
Your mastery of focus and the power of Chan grants you access to a powerful technique. As a bonus action on your turn, you can enter a state of supreme focus. For one minute you gain the following benefits:
- Mountains Defense: You gain a +1 bonus to your armor class
- Striking Wind: Your unarmed strikes and attacks with monk weapons deal an extra 1d4 force damage on a hit
- Flowing Currents: You can use your Flurry of Blows ability once without expending a focus point
You can use this feature a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus. You regain all expended uses on a long rest.
This features abilities grow stronger as you gain levels in this class. At 9th level, your armor class bonus becomes a +2, and your extra damage increases to 1d6, and you gain a fly speed equal to your speed and you can hover. And at 17th level, your armor class bonus becomes a +3, your extra damage increases to 1d8, and you can use your Flurry of Blows twice without expending a focus point during the duration.
Improved Deflection
Your training of using your opponents power has grown exponentially. Whenever you use your Deflect Attacks or Deflect Energy features, and use a focus point to redirect the attack, you can apply one of the following status’s along with the attacks normal damage:
- Toppled Mountain: The target must make a dexterity saving throw or be knocked prone
- Crashing Wind: The target must succeed on a strength saving throw or be pushed up to 15 feet away from you
- Airs Crushing Grasp: The target must succeed on a strength(athletics) or a dexterity(acrobatics) check or be grappled by you
Weightless Step
You learn to attune your movements to the currents of the air, granting you unparalleled grace and agility. You gain the following benefits:
•Unimpeded Movement: You ignore difficult terrain, and your movement is unaffected by nonmagical effects that reduce speed (such as caltrops or strong winds).
•Feather’s Grace: When you fall, you descend at a rate of 60 feet per round and take no damage upon landing, as currents of air cushion your descent.
•Whisper on the Wind: As an action, you can focus your ki to move with the subtlety of air. For 10 minutes, you leave no tracks, make no noise while moving, and cannot be tracked by nonmagical means unless you choose to be. You also gain advantage on Dexterity (Stealth) checks during this time.
You can use the Whisper on the Wind feature a number of times equal to your Wisdom modifier (minimum of once), and you regain all expended uses after a long rest.
Fist of Iron and Air
Your intense training and connection to Chan has granted you the ultimate technique of Iron and Air. As an action on your turn, you can spend 6 focus points to make an attack against a target within your reach. The target must succeed on a Dexterity saving throw. On a failed save, the target takes 10d10 force damage, and become paralyzed until the end of your next turn. On a successful saving throw, they take half damage and aren’t paralyzed.
