Base Class: Sorcerer
Interplanar Mastery is about harnessing the planes of reality to your benefit. Whether you were exposed to a being of a different plane of origin when you were young, or casually see inter-planar travel, something intrigued you about the other planes. As you begin to traverse this quest for mastery, you apply your knowledge to learn how to effectively use these planes of reality to your advantage.
Curious Ambiguity
As you start to learn about other planes, you become curious on how people normally traverse planes of existence. You learn how to see through inter-planar travel without hindrance.
Level 3: Ethereal Dodge
When you select this mastery, you learn about the Ethereal Plane, and all of it's uses. You have 3 charges that you can use when an enemy attacks you that allow you to swiftly transition into the Ethereal Plane for the duration of the attack. When the duration ends, you re-enter the previous plane, located behind the attacker, or the closest unobstructed area around them. If you successfully re-appear behind the attacker, you gain advantage on the attack roll of the next non-magic melee attack against them until the end of your next turn. You regain all expelled charges from a long rest.
Level 6: Subplane Displacement
When you reach the 6th level, you learn how to manipulate small portions of the planes you come across. Using an action, you can summon a hypercube with side lengths of 1 inch in your hand. When it hits the ground, it expands all of its side lengths to 10 feet, before shrinking with any non-creature substance within its sides back to 1 inch. When tossed again, it expands its side lengths back to 10 inches with the substances involved, before the cube dissolves. When the cube dissolves, the substances remain. You can summon the hypercube only if another hypercube summoned by you does not exist.
At Higher Levels. The expanded state of the hypercube increases by 10 feet at the 13th level (20 feet) and the 20th level (30 feet).
Level 14: Planar Perception
As you begin to interpret how each plane of reality overlap, you develop True Sight, and cannot be blinded due to your advanced understanding of the planes of reality. Additionally, you can cast spells into the Ethereal Plane.
Level 18: Demiplane Director
You have mastered how each plane of reality stabilizes, and can now create your own. You learn the spell Demiplane, but it does not count against the maximum amount of spells you know. You can cast it without using a spell slot. When you cast it in the previous manner, the duration is now until dispelled, but requires concentration. Whenever you create a new Demiplane, you can modify the Demiplane's attributes for the cost of sorcery points. The modifications allowed are listed below:
- 1 Sorcery Point - The Demiplane takes the shape of your design, as long as the area equals the area of a Demiplane without this modifier.
- 1 Sorcery Point - The Demiplane's base dimensions increase by 10 feet on each side. This modifier can be bought multiple times.
- 3 Sorcery Points - The Demiplane's door can be customized to allow creatures of a select size through unhindered.
- 4 Sorcery Points - All creatures inside the demiplane are incapable of initiating combat, and cannot deal damage to another creature while in the demiplane.
- 5 Sorcery Points - All creatures inside the demiplane can understand and speak to each other, as if they shared a common language.
- 5 Sorcery Points - The air inside the demiplane allows all creatures inside to breathe unhindered.
- 7 Sorcery Points - Only the owner of the demiplane can access the demiplane through any means.
- 10 Sorcery Points - The demiplane provides all inhabitants with a select beneficial trait, including the ability to cure a condition or heal 1d12 health per minute.
