Monk
Base Class: Monk

Monks of the Way of the Platinum Claw are the hand of justice, the mortal blade that strikes down the evil foes of the Platinum Dragon, Bahamut. They learn techniques to exert the will of their deity onto their opponents, manipulate ki to harness the elemental prowess of dragon kind, and practice advanced meditation that can protect those around them.

Claw of Evil's Bane

Starting when you choose this tradition at 3rd level, evil creatures begin to sense and fear the power of your ki. Whenever you hit a creature with one of the attacks granted by your Flurry of Blows, all evil creatures within 5 feet of you have disadvantage on attack rolls and saving throws until the start of your next turn.

The range of this effect extends to 15 feet at 12th level.

Platinum Scales

At 6th level, you gain the ability to channel your ki into a protective barrier for you and your allies. Immediately after you take the Attack action on your turn, you can spend 2 ki points to cast the armor of agathys spell as a bonus action. The spell is cast on you and up to two other creatures of your choice that are within 5 feet of you.

You can spend additional ki points to cast armor of agathys as a higher-level spell. Each additional ki point you spend increases the spell’s level by 1. The maximum number of ki points (2 plus any additional points) that you can spend on the spell equals half your monk level.

Detaining Strike

Beginning at 11th level, Bahamut's teachings of justice empower your ki. Whenever a creature fails a save against your Stunning Strike, in addition to being stunned until the end of your next turn, that creature is also frightened of you for 1 minute. A construct or an undead is immune to this additional effect. The frightened target may attempt a Wisdom saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on itself on a success. The DC for this saving throw is 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Charisma modifier

Breath of the Platinum Dragon

Starting at 17th level, you can channel the power of Bahamut into a torrent of elemental energy. As an action, you release a 15 ft. cone of frost from your hands, and you expend 1 to 10 ki points. Each creature in the cone must make a Constitution saving throw, and take 2d8 cold damage per ki point spent on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one. The DC for this saving throw equals 8 + your Constitution modifier + your proficiency bonus.

At 17th level, you also gain resistance to cold damage.
