Base Class: Barbarian
Unlike most other Barbarian Subclasses, the Path of True Focus Barbarian revolves around clearing one's mind in battle through breathing, gaining benefits that try to make the Barbarian more versatile in combat rather than focusing on 1-on-1 engagements.
Level 3: Advanced Breathing
Upon choosing this Path at level 3, your breathing techniques allow you to focus on your body and its movements.
Whenever you activate Rage, you gain temporary hitpoints equal to 1d6 + half your Barbarian level, rounded down. The dice improves when reaching higher levels in this class, improving to 1d8 at level 6, 1d10 at level 10 and 1d12 at level 14.
Also, whenever your Rage is active, you can now cast spells that require concentration.
Level 6: Surrounding Awareness
When you reach level 6 in this class, your breathing techniques improve, allowing you to perceive things most Barbarians would otherwise miss.
Whenever Rage is active, you can choose a hostile creature within 5ft. All other hostile creatures within range gain -2 to all attack rolls against you. This effect lasts until the beginning of your next turn.
You also gain Proficiency in Dexterity Saving Throws.
Omnipresent Guard
When you reach level 10 in this class, your advanced breathing techniques allow you to respond to attacks in the blink of an eye.
Whenever Rage is active, all hostile creatures gain Disadvantage when performing opportunity attacks against you or any allied creature within 10ft of you.
Also, whenever Rage is active and a hostile creature attacks you, you can expend your Reaction to circle around in place and perform a melee attack to all hostile creatures within melee range.
Calm Mind
When you reach level 14 in this class, your breathing techniques reach inhumane levels, allowing you to attack or repel enemies.
Whenever Rage is active, you can expend a Bonus Action to do one of two things to all enemies within melee range.
- You perform a melee attack to all hostile creatues.
- All hostile creatures whose size is equal or smaller than you are pushed 5ft away from you. Only allied creatures get opportunity attacks from this effect.
You can use this feature twice per long rest, and you regain all expended uses of this feature once every long rest.
