Base Class: Fighter
You are caught between two worlds. While your body moves mainly through your world, you're not
always entirely there. Sometimes part of your form pops into the Ethereal plane, leaving a hazy image of
the part of your essence that didn't make the trip. There are very few reported examples of this particular
anomaly. There are, however, plenty of ghost stories of warriors who effortlessly jump around the
battlefield like a vengeful spirit, striking down opponents and disappearing into the mist.
Split Being
Your dual citizenship of universes offers a dizzying view. You can see the mists of the Astral Plane
wafting around your feet, visions of other worlds briefly light the cloudy firmament like fading memories,
every once in a while a flash of lightning shoots by as a wizard teleports.
Regardless of the plane you are currently occupying, a part of you is always also occupying the same
space in the Astral Plane. Not a mirror, not an echo, but a portion of your being. Thus, a hazy but
recognizable image of yourself can be seen in that position by a creature with sight into the Astral
Plane. Whenever you enter the Astral Plane, you swap places with that portion, allowing you to interact
with the Astral Plane and leaving the ghostly projection in your previous plane. Wherever you can see
naturally, you can see into the Astral Plane. If lack of light or an obstacle blocks your vision on either
plane, your vision is blocked on both planes. Because of this, things that would obstruct your view in the
prime material plane such as walls, will also block your view in the Astral plane and vice versa.
Voidstep
In the heat of battle you can pop out of your current plane to reposition relatively effortlessly. As you land strikes, your form appears to turn to mist, blowing past you opponents, before reforming on the other side.
When you hit a creature with a melee weapon attack, you can move to any unoccupied space within 5 feet of them. This movement is instantaneous and does not provoke opportunity attacks. Additionally, once per turn, when you make a melee attack as part of the attack action, you can target a creature a number of feet away up to 5 x your proficiency bonus with a melee weapon attack. You then teleport to an unoccupied space within 5 feet of that creature to complete the attack. You can use this feature in this way a number of times equal to 1 + your Dexterity modifier (minimum of 2). When you complete a long rest, you regain all charges of this feature
Astralstep

Dimensional Pockets
Enemies that feel they have the drop on you should not rest so easy. A flanking enemy will be in for quite the start if the unarmored archer they were about to strike gains full plate armor and a halberd out of The Ether.
You can outfit the portion of you that usually exists in the Astral Plane differently from the one that exists in your plane of residence.
As a bonus action, you can choose to instantly switch your equipment with that of your Ethereal Form.
Any items you are wearing or wielding will become those that are being worn or wielded by your Ethereal Form. Your Ethereal Form will then have the equipment that was previously on you.
Both forms can be attuned to different items in their first attunement slot. This effect extends to the second slot at level 12 and the third at level 17. When attuning to an item in one of these slots, you can choose whether you want to attune to it in one or both forms. If both of your forms are attuned to the same magic item, it will remain on you when you switch equipment. If the attuned item overlaps with equipment in your Ethereal Form, the overlapping equipment falls to the ground at your feet.
If you die, the equipment on your Ethereal Form will instantly be lost in the Astral Plane.
Interplanar Shortcut
The use of alternate planes for speedy travel is a practice subject to thousands of unmeasurable
factors. What mages have devoted their lives to studying feels instinctual to you.
When you hit a creature with a ranged weapon attack, you can expend a use of your Voidstep feature to
appear within 5 feet of the target. This movement is instantaneous and does not provoke opportunity
attacks.
Phantom Traveler
With practice and training, you can make your trips to the other side slightly longer, allowing you a
limited ability to disappear, fly and walk through walls — 3 traits that make you fairly unique.
As an action you can swap places with your Ethereal Form until the end of your turn. You gain a flying
speed equal to your movement speed while doing this. If, you end your turn, you occupy the same spot
as a solid object or creature, you are immediately shunted to the nearest unoccupied space that you can
occupy and take force damage equal to twice the number of feet you are moved. While moving in this
manner, enemies cannot make opportunity attacks against you and your form becomes hazy and
ghostly, giving you +5 to any Dexterity (Stealth) checks made to hide or sneak. When this effect ends on
you, if you are not touching the ground, you will begin to fall.
If you fail a stealth check, you can instead use this feature as a reaction to gain +5 to the total,
potentially causing the check to succeed.
You can use this feature a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, and you regain all expended
uses of this feature when you complete a long rest.
Unified Form
Imagine what you can do if you were fully present, fully here and fully there. A newfound understanding
of your place in the worlds gives you the ability to finally unite your forms. It's difficult and painful to
maintain, but this is your complete form. Enjoy it.
As a bonus action, you can consolidate your presence to a point in-between planes. During this time, you
are subject to the following effects:
You are fully visible on both your current plane of residence and • the Ethereal Plane.
You can attack creatures and interact with objects that are on either your current plane of
residence or the Ethereal Plane
•
If a non-living object would block your movement in one plane you are occupying, but not in the
other, you can walk through it as if it were not there.
•
You have resistance to nonmagical bludgeoning, slashing, and piercing damage, as well as fire and
cold damage. However, you gain vulnerability to force damage as your form becomes less
material.
•
You have the Armor Class of the form with the highest armor class, and the stealth penalties of the
form with the least stealth penalties.
•
You can use any weapon or magic item equipped to either form without needing to stow any of
them.
•
You gain the benefits of every magic item you are wearing or attuned to on • both of your forms.
• You can't use any other Wisp features but you do retain the sight granted by Split Being.
You remain in this form for 1 minute, or until you choose to end this effect. If this effect ends while you
occupy the same spot as a solid object or creature, you are immediately shunted to the nearest
unoccupied space that you can occupy and take force damage equal to twice the number of feet you are
moved. Once you use this feature, you can't use it again until you finish a long rest.
