Monk
Base Class: Monk

A monk trained in the Way of the Twin Serpents is a master of improvised weaponry, in particular their signature natural weapon: the Snake-Chucks.

Way of the Twin Serpents

When you take Way of the Twin Serpents, you gain access to the Summon Animals spell and can use it at will without a spell slot, but only to summon two common snakes.  You then tie the snakes' tails together to create Snake-Chucks.

  • You deal 1d6 damage with improvised weapons.
  • Snake-Chucks count as improvised weapons that you have proficiency with and deal piercing damage.
  • All improvised weapons are considered monk weapons.

"Am I Being Detained?!"

At 6th level, you gain the ability to escape dangerous situations. As a bonus action, you can escape any grapple or negate any effect that reduces your movement speed. You must shout "am I being detained?!" to use this feature.  You must finish a long rest before you can use this feature again.

Shall Not Be Infringed

You cannot be disarmed by an enemy's action.

Snake Chuck Mastery

Any time an effect mentions an unarmed strike,  you may use your Snake-Chucks instead.

For example: Flurry of Blows gives you 2 more attacks with your Snake-Chucks.

Also your Snake-Chucks deal an additional 1d4 poison damage and you can add both your Dexterity and Strength modifiers to damage rolls made with your Snake-Chucks.
