Base Class: Warlock
Your patron is a greatly intelligent slime that has existed for eons on the planet. It was the first form of natural life on the planet and likely the thing that all life originally spawned from.
Expanded Spell List
The Ooze lets you choose from an expanded list of spells when you learn a warlock spell. The following spells are added to the warlock spell list for you.

Hereditary Memory
You know the primordial language.
When you touch a biological creature, you learn of their genetic history. You can ascertain genetic knowledge of their lineage back 3 generations (great-grandparents). You know what their ancestors looked like. You know of any genetic diseases they have passed on. You also know of any genetic vulnerabilities, resistances or immunities. This does not tell you of vulnerabilities, resistances or immunities that the creature has through non-natural means.
You can also sense all genetic benefits they gain from their race (Like Breath Weapon for Dragon Born or +2 Dexterity for Elves). After sensing these benefits in a creature, you can copy one benefit into your DNA for 24 hours. Only one genetic trait can be copied at a time.
At 9th level you can copy 2 traits at a time, but they must be from the same creature.
At 15th level you can copy 3 traits at a time, but they must be from the same creature.
Beneficial traits can be copied from non-playable races or other creatures, but may need to be scaled down by DM if to powerful for a player character.
Genetic Copy
Once per long or short rest as an action you can create a copy of yourself that lasts for 10 minutes.
The copy forms within 5 feet of you. The copy has it's own initiative roll but is controlled by you. The copy spawns with no armor weapons or items of any type and has Hit Points equal to twice your warlock level. This copy can perform simple tasks and make unarmed attacks. The copy can also cast cantrips that your character has prepared, but at the cost of 4 Hit Points per cantrip cast.
The copy has ability scores equal to yours and AC that is equal to yours without armor. The copy cannot speak.
At 13th level if the copy is active and your character dies, you can transfer your consciousness to the copy. The copy now becomes permanent and your character is now in this new body. You retain the hit points of the copy until a long rest is performed, then gain back the hit points of your normal body. This can only be performed once ever with no reset.
Slimy Mass
Once per long or short rest as an action you can transform into a puddle of slime for 10 minutes or until canceled. You retain your movement, AC, hit points and ability scores. While in this form you gain the effects of spider climb, you also gain +15 to stealth. You cannot speak, cast spells, or make weapon attacks in this form. You can grapple or make unarmed attacks as acidic damage instead of bludgeoning.
While in this form you can split making multiple slimes instead of one. When splitting divide your hit points between the slimes as you see fit. (example if you have 18 Hit points you can make one slime with 2 hit points, another with 11 hit points and a third with 5 hit points) New slimes are one size smaller than the original slime. You can split into up to 8 slimes. Slimes can combine back together, just add the hit points back together when doing so.
In initiative you are the slimes. On your turn you can split your movement between the slimes. You can also split you action and bonus action.
If a slime is reduced to 0 Hit Points it is dead, it does not go into death saving throws, unless it is the last slime. If the last slime loses all hit points it turns back into your humanoid form and you can begin death saving throws on your next turn.
You can revert back to your humanoid form at will even if your slimes are split. When reverting while split you choose which slime will become your humanoid form. You have only the Hit points of the slime that you reverted from and all other slimes die.
Cellular Osmosis
Once per long rest as an action you can attempt to absorb yourself into another biological creature to control it for one minute. The creature must be within 5 feet of you and fail a wisdom or constitution (whichever is higher for the target creature) saving throw against your spell save DC. Once absorbed into the creature you learn everything about it's abilities, its vulnerabilities, it's resistances and immunities. You can also peer into it's mind to see thoughts and memories.
If done in initiative, you control the creature during it's turn. On your turn you can cast spells or make unarmed melee attacks (acid damage) with a slimy pseudopod that extrudes from the controlled creature.
While controlled the host creature takes damage as normal and you take half damage. If it dies while controlled you appear in your humanoid form standing over the corpse of the creature. If you are reduced to 0 HP while controlling a creature, you appear in your humanoid form within 5 feet of unoccupied space of the creature.

Posted Dec 31, 2023I read this as they were gained all at once, which is way too powerful.
The main ability, Hereditary Memory, while incredibly cool is a bit OP. I would split them up as you could "choose to be aware of its vulnarabilites, resistances OR immunities. You can use this a number of times equal to you proficincy bonus per long rest." "You can also at that time chose to copy an ability based on the creature, for a number of rounds equal to you proficiency bonus, at which time it reverts to its natural form if that was part of the ability." This way you dont open it up to unforseen shinanigans.
I would add the ability to squeeze through spaces as the Slimy Mass.
I would add that the subject gets to reroll its saving throw or you need to make a concentration check vs. its constitution or wisdom (whichever is higher) on its turn while your are using Cellular Osmosis to eject you and the creatures speed is reduced by 5ft. due to increased mass. This ability could be damn near omnipotent so they need to be able to resist it somehow. The other option is a time limit.
