Monk
Base Class: Monk

*minor word use edits

Very few who train in the arts of combat are lucky, let alone skilled enough to tap into a power beyond mortal limits. Whether by birth right or some higher intervention, some few martial artists can break all conventional limits of the body, and use their superior gifts to strengthen their physical prowess with the risk of pushing themselves to exhaustion.

Regardless of this latent power, intense training and martial mastery is necessary to grow with these abilities, no differently from any other martial art. This class can only be chosen with DM Discretion and story background.

Limit Break

Limit Break
Once you Choose this subclass at lvl 3 you gain the Ability to channel your Ki throughout your body to greatly increase your physical prowess separate from martial training. As a bonus action you can spend 1 Ki point to Break into your Limitless state . For 1 minute while in this form you gain the following benefits:

• Your martial arts die increases to 1d6 (1d8 at 5th lvl, 1d10 at 11th lvl, and 1d12 at 17th lvl)

• You gain an additional bonus to your movement and jump speeds equal to half your Unarmored movement speed rounded down.

• You have Advantage on Strength Checks and Saving Throws

These benefits fall off immediately after shifting out of your Limitless state, either by choice or force. This form can be reached as many times equal to your constitution modifier and each time Limit Break falls off, the monk must make a constitution  saveing throw DC 6 and raises by 4 DC for each use. If the save fails the monk suffers one point of exhaustion and 2 if the save crit fails. The DC resets to base after a long rest

Flash Step

As a reaction. The monk can spend one ki point to use the Dodge action as a reaction just before an attack is rolled. This must be declared before the an attack rolls results and can only be activated while in Limitless state. However, this reaction can be used as many times as the monk has ki to spend.

Training Trumps Talent

Due to your training in both the art of your martial focus and breaking your original threshold, you have a deeper mastery with your limit break. You can roll a d6 for these features during a critical roll on attacks.

1- Add 2 extra damage dice to your roll

2- Disarm your target, if they have no weapon they gain disadvantage on their next attack.

3- knock you target back 20 feet and prone.

4- You can make an additional attack without needing to use your bonus action

5- You can grapple the target without a contested roll if they are no more then one size larger than you

6- players choice from the other listed options

The use of this chart must bed declared in play before the damage result and only can be used when the monk is in Limitless state.

Everything At Once

By lvl 17, should all else fail, the monk can channel all their energies into one desperate destructive strike. While in Limitless state, you can choose to spend 6 Ki points to make a single unarmed strike against a creature within range. On a hit the target takes 10d10 force damage and launches the target into whatever direction previously specified by player/DM/gameboard/narrative in that order, for 3 times the monks strength score (not modifier).
Base damage dealt by any collision should be referred to the list below and DM's discretion.

• No collision/tumbling on surface and loose objects compared to size of target add 1d10
• Sturdy wooden or brick structures add 2d10
• Sturdy stone or concrete structure add 4d10
• Fortified wood or brick add 3d10
• Fortified stone or concrete add 5d10

Further damage can be obtained beyond this chart due to the member of structures hit through the distance launched and from DM discretion.
Once you make this attack, whether you hit or miss, you instantly lose control of your broken limits and revert to a normal state of being and gain 2 points of exhaustion. You may use your bonus action on the same turn to spend 3 Ki points to maintain your stronger form but you will still gain the 2 points of exhaustion.
