Base Class: Paladin
The Oath of Finality is sword by paladins who embrace their role as arbiters of the ultimate truths: death, judgement, and the inescapable end. These warriors see themselves as instruments of divine order, delivering the final word to those who would defy the balance of life and death. They walk the line between mortal understanding and divine inevitability, bringing closure to those who seek redemption--or damnation.
Tenets of Finality
Paladins who swear this oath are bound by the following principles:
- Endings Are Inevitable: All things must end. Delay is folly, and resistance to the natural order is futile.
- Deliver Judgment: Act as the hand of your god, bringing justice and balance to the world with precision and finality.
- Balance the Scales: Preserve the balance of life and death. Destroy the undead, punish the wicked, and ensure no soul escapes its fate.
- Face the End Without Fear: Death is not to be feared. Accept it as a natural part of existence and inspire others to do the same.

Level 3: Channel Divinity
When you take this oath at 3rd level, you gain the following Channel Divinity options:
-
Hand of Finality: As an action, you mark a creature within 30 feet for judgment. The target must make a Wisdom saving throw or be paralyzed for 1 minute. While paralyzed, the creature can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns. On a success, the effect ends.
-
Final Respite: As an action, you can touch a creature and grant it peace or release. You can restore hit points equal to twice your paladin level or deal necrotic damage equal to your paladin level to an undead or fiend. This damage bypasses resistances.
Level 7: Aura of Finality
Your presence commands an air of inevitability. Enemies within 10 feet cannot regain hit points. At 18th level, the range increases to 30 feet.
Level 15: Herald of the End
You embody the inevitability of death and judgment. When you reduce a creature to 0 hit points, you can use your reaction to frighten all enemies within 10 feet. Frightened creatures have disadvantage on saving throws against your spells and abilities while frightened.
Aspect of Finality
You become the personification of the end. As an action, you assume a divine form for 1 minute. While in this form:
- You emit a 30-foot aura of inevitability. Enemies within the aura take psychic damage equal to your Charisma modifier at the start of their turns.
- Your weapon attacks deal an extra 2d10 radiant or necrotic damage (your choice).
- You cannot be frightened, charmed, or paralyzed, and creatures within your aura have disadvantage on saving throws against your spells.
Once you use this feature, you can’t do so again until you finish a long rest.
