Base Class: Fighter
Either by a symbol of your past, a representation of history, or just for fun, you fight with the chains on broken shackles, given to you by a ritual conducted on a whip.
Ceremony of Bonds
Starting at 3rd level, as a part of your long rest you can perform a 10-minute-long ritual with a whip to transform it into a pair of broken shackles. The shackles are useable as weapons with the finesse and reach properties, as long as you have no other weapons equipped, and you cannot have them removed or be disarmed of them if you are not willing. The shackles have damage die of 2d4, dealing slashing damage, and your attacks with them ignore 1/2 cover. You can also replace one of your attacks using this weapon with a lash attack. The lash attack has the target make a Dexterity saving throw with a dc of 8 + Proficiency + (Strength or Dexterity), taking your weapon damage on a failure. You can also immediately make an attack with this weapon using your bonus action after you take the attack action, but this attack deals half of the weapon's damage dice instead (ex. 2d4 to 1d4, 2d6 to 1d6, etc.). You can only have one set of shackles at a time. In addition, you can use your shackles to grasp an unattended Small or Tiny object within your reach and pull that object to you. To do so, you must hit the ac of the object with a melee attack. You can also use your shackles to grasp onto an object within your reach as if it were a grappling hook, allowing you to swing on it like a rope. You cannot use the shackles to attack while they are grasping an object, but as a free action, you can release the object your shackles are grasping.
Dancing Slashes
Also starting at 3rd level, as an action on your turn, you can perform a dance with your shackles while making a lash against every creature of your choice within on any of the following patterns:
- A radius equal to your reach
- A cone twice the length of your reach.
- A five-foot-thick line three times the length of your reach.
You can use this feature a number of times equal to your proficiency modifier and uses reset on a short or long rest.
Empowered Ritual
Starting at 7th level, your connection with your shackles grow stronger, extending their reach to 15 feet and allowing the damage from them to count as magical damage when it comes to overcoming resistances and immunities, if it isn't already. They also begin to ignore 3/4 cover. Your reach with the shackles further grows to 20 feet at 15th level and it then ignores all cover as it begins to curl around corners (It would ignore full cover from a pillar or around a corner, but it would not ignore full cover from a wall of force that fully encases someone).
Constricting Coil
Also starting at 7th level, whenever you hit a creature with your shackles, you can replace one of your attacks with a Constricting Coil by expending a charge of this ability. The creature makes a dexterity saving throw against your Lash save DC and takes the weapon damage plus additional damage equal to a number of your shackles' base damage dice equal to half your proficiency modifier rounded down (ex. 2d4, 2d6, 3d8, etc.). If the target is large or smaller, it is grappled. On a success, the target takes half as much damage and is not grappled. While the creature is grappled this way, you can only direct attacks made with your shackles at it, and can use your movement speed to drag it up to 15 feet within your range. The creature can repeat the saving throw at the start of its turn, escaping on a success. If it fails, you can use your reaction to deal 1 of your weapon's damage dice of damage to it. Also starting at 18th level, a creature grappled this way is also considered restrained.
The charges of this ability reset on a long rest.
Raking Barbs
Starting at 10th level, your shackles grow stronger, raising their damage die to d6s. At 18th level, the damage further raises to d8s.
Unrelenting Dance
At 15th level, you can enter a dance of battle as a bonus action on your turn. The dance lasts for 1 minute, or until you are knocked unconscious.
While in your Unrelenting Dance, your weapon attacks with your shackles deal an additional 3d6 damage of a type based on your alignment. Additionally, while in your dance, your armor class increases by 2, and you can use your reaction to deflect projectiles. When you are targeted by a projectile that would hit, you can use your reaction to reduce the damage by a number equal to 1d10 + Dexterity or Strength Modifier + Fighter Level.

You can use this ability a number of times equal to half your proficiency bonus with charges resetting on a long rest.
Inescapable Fury
At 18th level, when you become wounded, your senses heighten, and your focus improves. While you have less than half your hit points, you add a d10 to the first attack roll or saving throw you make each turn.
