Base Class: Bard
Some bards channel their magic through not only song or poetry, but through food.
Food holds some of the most important cultural heritages across the multiverse, and bards from the College of Chefs travel all over to learn of the diverse and beautiful art of cooking.
Level 3: Magical Cooking
When you join the College of Chefs at 3rd level you gain proficiency with Cook's Utensils. You can also use Cook's Utensils as a spellcasting focus for your Bard spells.
Additionally you learn the Prestidigitation cantrip. It counts as a Bard spell for you and doesn't count against your number of cantrips known.
Level 3: Restful Meal
Starting at 3rd level, over the course of a short rest you may cook a feast provided you have Cook's Utensils on hand. Any creature that benefits from your Song of Rest feature can also choose to end one disease or condition affecting it. Alternatively it can remove one level of exhaustion.
Once a creature has removed a level of exhaustion using this feature it can't do so again until you've both finished a long rest.
You can use the feast you cook using this feature to replace the performance needed for Song of Rest.
Level 6: Chef's Inspiration
You have further honed your skills in imbuing food with magic. Beginning at 6th level provided you have Cook's Utensils on hand you can expend one use of your Bardic Inspiration and spend 10 minutes imbuing it into a small snack. When you produce the snack you choose one of the following effects to imbue it with:
Spicy: When a creature consumes this snack it gains a bonus to its damage rolls equal to one roll of your Bardic Inspiration die for its next 3 turns.
Sweet: When a creature consumes this snack it regains hit points equal to two rolls of your Bardic Inspiration die.
Savory: When a creature consumes this snack it gains a bonus to its AC equal to your Charisma modifier. This last for the creature's next 3 turns.
Caffeinated: When a creature consumes this snack its walking speed is increased by 15 feet for its next 3 turns.
A snack can take whatever shape you like and retains its magic for 8 hours or until consumed. A creature can consume the snack as a bonus action, and can only benefit from one snack at a time.
Level 14: Glorious Feast
Beginning at 14th level you have fully mastered the art of cooking magical food. Whenever a creature consumes one of your Chef's Inspiration snacks it gains the benefits of the Lesser Restoration spell.
Additionally, you learn the Heroes' Feast spell if you don't already know it. If you learn the spell this way it doesn't count against your number of Bard spells known. However when you cast this spell it has the following changes:
- You get to pick which saving throw the affected creatures gain advantage on instead of just Wisdom saving throws.
- The hit points that affected creatures regain and increase their hit point maximum by for the duration is 3d10 instead of 2d10
- You get to pick which condition affected creatures become immune to for the duration of the spell instead of them just being immune to being frightened. You can pick one of the following conditions: Blinded, Deafened, Charmed, Frightened, Poisoned, Paralyzed, Petrified, or Stunned
