Base Class: Monk

The monks who choose this way are monks who utilize every opportunity they can during combat. They often hit when their opponents are not looking and they do not care about the rules of a duel. These monks only want one thing and it is to defeat their opponent by any means possible.

Pit fighters are known for their ruthlessness in combat. They are not easily pinned down and they don't let there opponent get the better of them. They are fast and strong and base their training on combat experience. Most of them look for fights to hone their skills and develop their abilities. If they find a weak spot they will exploit every inch of it. When a pit fighter starts to brawl, he will do anything in his power to win the fight as fast as possible, even if that means putting his own health on the line. However, don’t be fooled by their strong will to finish the fight early, for they have extreme stamina, and are fast to recover. As long as the pit fighter is standing, the fight is on and it will not stop.

Opportunist

Starting at 3rd level, the pit fighter can utilise every distraction is opponent may have. When an opponent within 5ft from you makes an attack against another creature you can use your reaction to make an unarmed strike against the opponent. In addition the pit fighter can use a ki point, as a reaction, to make a attack against a creature that uses the disengage action.

Impeccable defense

Starting at 3rd level, you gain the ability to protect yourself more efficiently. When you are hit by a melee attack, you can expend up to 3 ki points to protect yourself as a reaction. For each ki points expended you gain +1 to your AC until the start of your next turn.

Sucker punch

As a pit fighter, you are incredibly ruthless with your opponents, you always want to get in the head of your opponent early on and deal as much damage as possible as quickly as possible. Starting at 3rd level, on the first round of every fight and during the surprise round, you gain advantage the first attack of the turn made against creatures that haven't already had a turn and if it is an unarmed strike, it counts as critical hit.

Always ready for a fight

Pit fighters don't get surprised easily. Starting at 6th level you cannot be surprised by an opponent provided that you are not unconscious or asleep and you are not incapacitated. Additionally, you can add your wisdom modifier (at least +1) to your initiative rolls.

This feature also gives you the ability to use two reactions, and three reactions at 11th level.

Relentless will

You are very durable and near impossible to bring down. Starting at 11th level, at the start of each turn you regain a number of hit points equal to one of your proficiency bonus, provided that you have less than half your health.

One punch knockout

You have mastered the ability to destroy your opponent at an alarming rate. At 17th level, when you hit with an unarmed strike, you can spend 4 ki points to hit your opponent with amazing power and accuracy. You force your opponent to make a constitution saving throw against your Ki ability (8 + proficiency + wisdom modifier), if he fails, your opponent becomes stunned for 1 minute and takes 10d10 magic bludgeoning damage additional to the unarmed strike damage. If the saving throw is succeeded, the opponent takes half damage.

Every turn the creature waists its turn doing a constitution saving throw, attempting to regain control over their body. The creature's allies can use their help action to remove the stunned condition.

The damage from this feature is unaffected by critical hits and it cannot be used on a reaction.

You cannot use this feature more than once per turn.
