Base Class: Barbarian
A frightening roar bursts out of bloodshot wide eyes as a savage looking bugbear lets loose an explosion of fire. A loud burst of pummeling arcane energy emanates out from the deadly greataxe of an enraged minotaur slams into its enemy. The untamed rage that warriors are able to harness coalesces into a concentrated magical power, surprising those who are not familiar with arcane ragers by the sight of a fearsome barbarian casting a spell. Though their power is limited in comparison to their Sorcerer companions, their might is no less terrifying. With a smaller reserve of magical power, arcane ragers smite their foes with raw arcane force in the throes of their rage.
Spellcasting
At 3rd level, the raw power of your untamed rage gives you limited use of arcane spells and magical effects. See Spell Rules for the general rules of spellcasting and the Spells Listing for the sorcerer spell list.
Cantrips
You learn two cantrips of your choice from the sorcerer spell list. You learn an additional sorcerer cantrip of your choice at 10th level.
Spell Slots
The Arcane Rager Spellcasting table shows how many spell slots you have to cast your sorcerer spells of 1st level and higher. To cast one of these spells, you must expend a slot of the spell’s level or higher. You regain all expended spell slots when you finish a long rest.
For example, if you know the 1st-level spell shield and have a 1st-level and a 2nd-level spell slot available, you can cast shield using either slot.
Spells Known of 1st-level or Higher
You know three 1st-level sorcerer spells of your choice, two of which you must choose from the abjuration and evocation spells on the sorcerer spell list.
The Spells Known column of the Arcane Rager Spellcasting table shows when you learn more sorcerer spells of 1st level or higher. Each of these spells must be an abjuration or evocation spell of your choice, and must be of a level for which you have spell slots. For instance, when you reach 7th level in this class, you can learn one new spell of 1st or 2nd level.
The spells you learn at 8th, 14th, and 20th level can come from any school of magic.
Whenever you gain a level in this class, you can replace one of the sorcerer spells you know with another spell of your choice from the sorcerer spell list. The new spell must be of a level for which you have spell slots, and it must be an abjuration or evocation spell, unless you’re replacing the spell you gained at 3rd, 8th, 14th, or 20th level from any school of magic.
Spellcasting Ability
Charisma is your spellcasting ability for your sorcerer spells, since you gain your arcane powers through the raw power of your emotions and anger. You use your Charisma whenever a spell refers to your spellcasting ability. In addition, you use your Charisma modifier when setting the saving throw DC for a sorcerer spell you cast and when making an attack roll with one.
Spell save DC = 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Charisma modifier
Spell attack modifier = your proficiency bonus + your Charisma modifier

Arcane Strike
Starting at 3rd level when you take this path, you may add your Charisma modifier to the damage rolls of melee attacks you make while raging.
You are still unable to cast or concentrate on spells while raging, though you gain the ability to expend spell slots when you make successful melee attacks in order to deal additional damage. You are only able to use this feature while raging. You deal an additional 1d8 force damage per spell slot expended.
For example, if you expend one 1st level spell slot on a successful melee attack, you deal an additional 1d8 force damage. If you use a 2nd level spell slot, you deal an additional 2d8 force damage, up to a maximum of 4d8 at 4th level.
Magical Might
Beginning at 6th level, your innate magical power protects and empowers you. When you cast a spell from the Abjuration school of magic, you gain temporary hit points equal to 3 x the spell's level. Additionally, when you deal damage with your Arcane Strike feature while raging, you gain temporary hit points equal to the additional amount of force damage you deal.
When you deal damage with an evocation spell, you may add your Charisma modifier to the damage roll.
Explosive Defense
At 10th level, when you are hit by a melee attack while your Magical Might temporary hit points are active and are dropped to 0, you may use your reaction to cause that creature to take force damage equal to twice the amount of temporary hit points lost.
You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Charisma modifier per long rest (a minimum of 1).
Raw Power
At 14th level, you can now cast spells while raging, as long as they are of the Abjuration school of magic. However, if you do so, you are unable to use your Arcane Strike feature in the same turn.
Additionally, your Arcane Strike now deals an additional die of force damage per level of spell expended, up to a maximum of 8d8.
