Bonded Weapon
Bound Weapon:
3rd-level Blade Bound feature
You have the ability to forge a unique connection with a weapon by imbuing it with your essence. This process requires you to spend 3 hours performing the Ritual of Binding, which can be completed during a long rest. The chosen weapon must be a nonmagical melee weapon that lacks the heavy property. You can only have one bound weapon at a time. If you perform the Ritual of Binding on another weapon, your connection to the previous weapon ends.
Bonded Recall:
3rd-level Blade Bound feature
You have learned to call your bound weapon back to your hand with a simple thought. As a free action, you can summon your bound weapon to your hand if it is within 120 feet of you. The weapon follows an unobstructed path and cannot pass through solid objects, or barriers. nor does it deal damage to any creature in its path. If another creature is holding the weapon, you must succeed a contested Strength (Athletics) check against them to reclaim it.
Chain Pull:
3rd-level Blade Bound feature
You have mastered your connection with your weapon to the degree that it is an extension of your very soul. when you take the attack action you can throw your bound weapon up to 15 feet at a target. if you hit a creature of Medium size or smaller, it must succeed a saving throw (DC = 8 + your Strength modifier + your proficiency bonus) or be pulled in a straight line to an unoccupied space within 5 feet of you.
This feature cannot be used if pulling the creature would cause it to fall more than 10 feet.
You can use this feature a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, and you regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest.
Sentience
Sentience:
7th-level Blade Bound feature
Your Bound weapon has begun to develop a distinct personality, reflecting your thoughts and emotions. The weapon is capable of telepathic communication with you, speaking directly into your mind. It possesses no knowledge beyond what you already know and cannot learn new information independently. If you bond with a new weapon, the personality is transferred to the new weapon, and the previous weapon loses its sentience and reverts to an ordinary weapon.
Additionally, your weapon now counts as dealing magical damage.
Sentient Defense:
7th-level Blade Bound feature
As your weapon's awareness grows, it instinctively moves to protect you in moments of danger. When you are hit by an attack you can use your reaction to have your weapon interpose itself, granting you a +5 bonus to your AC against that attack.
You can use this feature a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, and you regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest.
Improved Bonding
Second Weapon:
10th-level Blade Bound feature
You can now bind yourself to up to two weapons simultaneously. When Binding a second weapon, you can choose whether it develops its own personality or shares the personality of your original bound weapon. If you bond with a new weapon beyond this limit, you must choose which weapon to release from your bond.
Heavy Binding:
10th-level Blade Bound feature
Your bond strengthens, allowing you to bind yourself to a weapon with the heavy property, however binding such a weapon requires both of your available weapon bonds preventing you from bonding to a second weapon while it is active.
Improved Pull:
10th-level Blade Bound feature
You can now throw your bound weapon up to 30 feet as part of your attack action. when you hit a creature of Medium size or smaller it must succeed a Strength saving throw (DC = 8 + your Strength modifier + your proficiency bonus) or be pulled up to 30 feet in a straight line towards you to an unoccupied space within 5 feet of you.
Guided Will:
10th-level Blade Bound feature
Your bond with your weapon reaches unparalleled levels of harmony. As a bonus action, you can cause your bound weapon to move and fight independently. When you do so, the weapon immediately moves up to 30 feet and makes a single attack using your attack and damage modifiers.
On subsequent turns, you an use your bonus action to command your weapon to move up to 30 feet and make another attack, provided it remains within 120 feet of you.
This effect lasts for 1 minute and can only be applied to one bound weapon at a time. once you use this feature you cannot use it again until you finish a long rest.
Ever-present weapon
Defensive Stance:
15th-level Blade Bound feature
Your bound weapon now acts as a vigilant protector of those around you. if your bound weapon is floating within 10 feet of an ally and that ally is hit by an attack, you can use your reaction to expend a use of Sentient Defense to grant them a +5 bonus to their AC against that attack.
Tireless Bond:
15th-level Blade Bound feature
Your deepened connection with your weapon ensures it never falters in the heat of battle. At the start of combat, if you have no remaining uses of Chain Pull or Sentient Defense, you automatically regain one use of the feature that has no uses left.
Spiritual Manifestation
Spiritual Manifestation
18th-level Blade Bound feature
Your bound weapon allows the potency of your soul to become manifest, radiating supernatural power. Each of your bound weapons is now considered a +3 weapon, granting a +3 bonus to attack and damage rolls. This enhancement applies only while the weapon is bound to you and ceases if the bond is broken.
Soul Song
18th-level Blade Bound feature
Your connection to your bound weapon reaches its pinnacle, allowing you to reshape its essence to fit your needs. When you finish a short or long rest, you can choose to change the damage type of your weapon to one of the following: acid, cold, fire, lightning, necrotic, psychic, radiant, or thunder. The weapon retains this damage type until you change it again using this feature.
