Rogue
Base Class: Rogue

A rogue/druid hybrid class meant for stealth and ambushing; this subclass allows for a proper utilization of the mimic's native biology and permits the use of custom spells that represent such actions.

Iron Stomach

Mimics were designed to eat. That is a rule of nature. As with several other creatures that eat for much of their lives, mimics have developed an immunity to natural poisons and many venoms. They are not designed to wield their own poisons, but one notable rogue box mimic was sighted a decade back wielding toxins roughly analogous to a scorpion's - leading to the prevailing theory that it subsisted off of scorpions long enough that it forced its body to develop the capacity to wield these without harming itself.

The term 'iron stomach' is only somewhat a misnomer. This ability developed as a way for mimics to be able to handle swallowing things like rocks and metal scraps alongside edible organic matter. Due to the natural inability of sight, mimics are unable to identify immediately if they are consuming something they cannot digest. Eventually, this ability became more widespread among the mimic population due to selective breeding. Mimics nowadays can consume most things others would consider inedible. That isn't to say that the interior of a mimic cannot be damaged, but that it is more resistant to damage than other creatures may be from the inside.

While consumed toxins will not damage you, the consumption of corrosive substances and objects of drastic temperature WILL cause damage to your body.

Biomass Storage

Mimics, and other shapeshifters, are able to consume more than they appear physically able. This is because they do not need to process waste, as all consumed organic material is used for sating hunger or is converted into energy. Whatever is converted into energy becomes usable as stored biomass for shapeshifting, entering the muscles of the shapeshifter and replacing missing chunks of flesh.

This stored biomass can be used to replenish missing native organic mass to the shapeshifter, such as having a chunk of a mimic's tongue ripped off. This is a natural process all shapeshifters are capable of. At level 10, you no longer expend biomass to regenerate lost body parts.

Changeling Dialogue

As a mimic, you begin to understand the subtle vocalizations used by shapeshifters. These high-pitched clicks and chirps, inaudible to most, allow you to comprehend the communication of other shapeshifters. While you can’t yet speak their language, you can interpret the meaning behind these sounds, making it easier to coordinate with others of your kind. Perhaps when you're older, you'll be capable of proper communication?

Density Purge

Three times between rests, you may bring out all of your stored biomass, converting it from its condensed energy form into extra material in both your shell and musculature, drastically boosting your general density. As a side effect, this makes you heavier as well. You can maintain this extra-dense form until your concentration is broken - you cannot move due to how dense your muscles have become.
