Monk
Base Class: Monk

Monks of the Way of the Windblown have discovered an unorthodox method of harnessing their inner energy. By focusing their ki, they create a unique “natural” force that propels them in combat, leaving their enemies reeling. Masters of the Way of the Windblown often believe that humor and humility are crucial aspects of enlightenment, and nothing embodies that more than their gaseous techniques.

Level 3: Blustering Blast

When you take this subclass at 3rd level, you learn to weaponize your "natural" energy to disrupt and damage foes. As a bonus action, you can spend 1 ki point to release a concussive blast of gas in a 15-foot cone. Each creature in the area must make a Dexterity saving throw (DC = 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Wisdom modifier) or take 2d6 thunder damage and be pushed back 10 feet. On a success, creatures take half damage and are not pushed.

Level 6: Silent but Deadly

You’ve refined your technique to be stealthy and precise. When you make an unarmed strike, you can spend 1 ki point to release a subtle burst of gas. Choose one of the following effects to apply to the target:

  • Noxious Assault: The target must make a Constitution saving throw (DC = 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Wisdom modifier) or be 2d8 poison damage and is poisoned until the end of your next turn. On a success, the target takes half damage and is not poisoned.
  • Gust of Speed: Your strike propels you with unnatural force. You can immediately disengage and move 15 feet without provoking opportunity attacks.

Additionally, you gain advantage on Dexterity (Stealth) checks to remain hidden while prone or crouching, as you can mask your escape with faint distractions.

Level 11: Windy Escape

When you’re hit by an attack, you can use your reaction and spend 2 ki points to release a pungent blast, propelling yourself out of harm’s way. The attacker must succeed on a Strength saving throw (DC = 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Wisdom modifier) or be pushed back 15 feet and knocked prone. You then move 20 feet in any direction without provoking opportunity attacks.

The odor is so overwhelming that until the end of your next turn, creatures within 5 feet of your original position have disadvantage on attacks due to the lingering stink.

Level 17: Gale of Devastation

Your mastery of the Windblown technique culminates in an apocalyptic surge of flatulence. As an action, you can spend 4 ki points to unleash a 30-foot-radius burst of noxious force centered on yourself. Each creature in the area must make a Constitution saving throw (DC = 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Wisdom modifier). On a failure, they take 6d10 thunder damage, are poisoned for 1 minute for 2d8 poison damage, and are pushed 30 feet away. On a success, they take half damage and are not poisoned or pushed.

For 1 minute after this ability is used, the area becomes difficult terrain for all creatures except you, as the lingering fumes cloud their movement and senses.
