Base Class: Cleric
Clerics who follow the Domain of Malignancy serve dark deities or forces that thrive on torment, decay, and despair. They master the art of manipulating the flow of damage, turning suffering into their strength. Whether redirecting harm to others or transmuting pain into vitality, these clerics ensure that their allies endure while their enemies crumble under the weight of anguish.
Domain Spells
The spells granted by your domain
Level 1: Malicious Aegis
You can twist damage away from yourself or an ally to another creature. When a creature within 30 feet of you takes damage, you can use your reaction to redirect half the damage (rounded down) to another creature within 30 feet of you. The redirected creature must succeed on a Constitution saving throw against your spell save DC or take the damage.
You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Wisdom modifier (minimum of once), regaining all expended uses on a long rest.
Corrupting Touch
You can turn harm into a vile form of healing. When you deal damage to a creature, you can choose one ally (including yourself) within 30 feet of you to regain hit points equal to half the damage dealt.
You can use this feature a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, regaining all uses after a long rest.
Level 2: Channel Divinity: Pain’s Offering
You can use your Channel Divinity to turn your enemies' suffering into vitality for your allies. When a creature within 30 feet of you takes damage, you can use your reaction to heal one creature (yourself or another ally) within 30 feet of you for an amount equal to the damage taken.
If the damage was redirected using your Malicious Aegis feature, you can divide the healing between multiple allies.
Level 6: Redirect Agony
You gain the ability to continuously shift harm across the battlefield. When you or an ally within 30 feet of you takes damage, you can use your reaction to redirect all of the damage to another creature within range. The new target must succeed on a Constitution saving throw against your spell save DC or take the full damage.
Additionally, if the redirected damage reduces the new target to 0 hit points, you or one ally within 30 feet regains hit points equal to your cleric level + your Wisdom modifier.
Level 8: Potent Spellcasting
You add your Wisdom modifier to the damage you deal with any cleric cantrip.
Level 17: Sovereign of Suffering
Your mastery of pain and suffering becomes absolute. You gain the following benefits:
- Unending Redirection: You can use your reaction to redirect damage an unlimited number of times per turn.
- Shared Suffering: When a creature fails its saving throw against your Malicious Aegis or Redirect Agony feature, you can inflict additional necrotic damage equal to your Wisdom modifier.
- Pain Into Power: When you or an ally is healed by your abilities, they gain temporary hit points equal to half the amount healed.
