Base Class: Sorcerer
Your innate magic comes from the soul of a true dragon that is combined with yours. Perhaps the dragon willing chose to combine with your soul, perhaps it was cursed to do so, or maybe it was a freak accident that brought you together. Whatever caused it, this dragon is part of you for life. Some souls completely combine, causing the dragon and the sorcerer to truly be one in the same, while others remain side-by-side, two distinct entities trapped inside one body.
Draconic Partner
At 1st level, you choose one type of dragon to be the type of your draconic partner. Each dragon type also has a corresponding damage type. The dragon type is used by other Draconic Soul features.
If your character has a 'good' alignment, you will likely have a metallic dragon soul. If you have an 'evil' alignment, you will likely have chromatic dragon soul.
Metallic Dragon Types:
Brass, Bronze, Copper, Gold, Silver
Chromatic Dragon Types:
Black, Blue, Green, Red, White

Innate Protection
The power drawn from the soul of a dragon can protect you from potentially dangerous attacks. At 1st level, you can expend a spell slot of 5th-level or lower as a reaction against an attack targeting you and gain a bonus to AC equal to the level of the spell slot expended until the start of your next turn. When using this feature, you can choose to convert sorcery points into a spell slot (as detailed in the 'Creating Spell Slots' table in the 'Font of Magic' sorcerer feature) as part of the reaction, as long as the spell slot created is the one expended.
Unleash Soul
The dragon soul inside you is in constant in wait for the moment you call upon it to spring forth. At 6th level, you can use a bonus action to expend a spell slot of 3rd-level or higher and morph into your dragon-form, remaining in that form longer the higher spell slot expended.
When in dragon-form, you are the type selected as your draconic partner and you have an armor class of 17 (natural armor), a Strength score of 17 (+3), a Dexterity score of 10 (+0), and a Constitution score of 15 (+2). You also have flying speed equal to your normal speed. All other statistics, including other ability scores, hit points, and alignment, remain. All damage done when in dragon-form remain when reverting, and falling to 0 hit points when in this form automatically reverts you.
When in dragon form, at the start of each of your turns you must make a Charisma saving throw (DC listed below). On a failure, you revert back into your normal-form. Each turn you succeed, the DC increases by 4. As a bonus action on your turn, you can manually revert back into normal-form as well.

Actions in Dragon-form:
Elemental Resilience (Bonus Action; Cost: 1 Sorcerer Point): You become resistant to the damage type in which your dragonic partner is associated with until you revert. You can expend 2 additional sorcerer points to become immune until you revert instead of resistant.
Claw: A normal Strength-based melee attack, dealing 12 (2d8 + 3) damage on a hit.
Breath Weapon (Cost: 2 Sorcerer Points and +3 to reverting DC): You exhale your breath weapon, forcing each creature in a 15-foot cone to make a DC 15 Dexterity saving throw, taking 8d6 damage on a failure and half as much on a success. The damage type is the damage type your dragonic partner is associated with.
Superior Breath Weapon (Cost: 7 Sorcerer Points and +5 to revert DC): You exhale your breath weapon, forcing each creature in a 20-foot cone to make a DC 17 Dexterity saving throw, taking 12d6 damage on a failure and half as much on a success. The damage type is the damage type your dragonic partner is associated with.
Using this feature takes a toll on you, and once reverting you suffer a 1d4 penalty to your Spell Save DC and Spell Attack Bonus for 1 hour, and this feature cannot be used again for 1 week.
Draconic Fury
At 14th level, the innate power of the dragon within will reveal itself to save you even when you falter. You now automatically hit and score critical hits with spell attacks on rolls of 1 or 20. Additionally, you regain one Sorcerer point when you score a critical hit with a spell attack.
Overpowered
At 18th level, you and your draconic partner have become so attuned that you can bend reality into your favor. Whenever you make an attack roll, ability check, or saving throw with advantage you can spend 4 Sorcery points to roll three dice instead of two, using the highest roll. Whenever you make a roll without advantage or disadvantage, you can spend 5 Sorcery points to gain advantage. If you make a roll with disadvantage, you can spend 4 Sorcery points to negate the disadvantage.
