Base Class: Paladin
A Paladin who swears the Oath of Dedication does not merely love; they forge an unbreakable bond with their deity, Voryn, the Silent Heart, and impose that same devotion onto others. Love is not a mere emotion to them—it is a force, a tool, and a weapon to shape the world according to their god’s will. To follow this oath is to submit wholly to the divine authority of Voryn and to ensure that others do the same, for love unchallenged is power unshaken.
These Paladins serve as the enforcers of devotion, ensuring that love is absolute and that loyalty is never questioned. They see betrayal and disloyalty as the gravest of sins, punishing them ruthlessly. The love of Voryn is not gentle; it is all-consuming, demanding, and inescapable.
Tenets of Devotion:
Paladins who take this oath uphold these tenets with unwavering fervor:
-
Absolute Loyalty. Devotion to your deity, loved ones, and cause is sacred. Betrayal is the highest form of heresy. Once bonds are forged, they should never be broken, no matter the cost.
-
Unbreakable Bonds. Love is not fleeting but eternal. The relationships you form are not mere interactions but sacred contracts, binding those involved in an unshakable connection that can only be severed through death.
-
Passion is Power. Emotion fuels strength. True devotion is not passive; it is a driving force that allows you to bend others to your will. Love can empower, but it can also control, dominate, and subjugate.
-
Faith Over Truth. Deception and lies are tools of the weak. True devotion is unwavering and does not require manipulation. To serve your cause and deity with truth and fervor is to achieve the highest form of righteousness.
