Base Class: Ranger

Wilderness Escorts are adept at traveling through the wild without disturbance or notice. They are often sought after for their skills as guides, and their ability to grant safe passage to other travellers through even the harshest environments.

Exceptional Tracker

You are adept at identifying and tracking creatures in the wild. You can cast Hunter's Mark on a creature by studying its tracks for 1 minute. The target does not have to be within 90 feet of you, and you do not have to see the target when you cast the spell in this way.

In addition, you can take the Search and Study actions as a Bonus Action to locate or recall information about a creature marked by your Hunter's Mark.

Vexing Strikes

You know how to harm or hinder your enemies in order to give you and your companions the best chance of survival. Once on each of your turns, you can cause one of the following effects immediately after you hit a creature with an attack:  

Slaying Strike. The attack's target takes an extra 1d6 damage of the attacks damage type..

Slowing Strike. The attack's target has it's speed reduced by 10 feet.

Thwarting Strike. The attack's target has Disadvantage on its next attack roll before the start of your next turn.

Level 3: Wilderness Escort Spells

You have learned to to channel magic to aid you in granting safe passage to others. When you reach a Ranger level specified in the Wilderness Escort Spells table, you thereafter always have the listed spells prepared

Stalwart Defences

You have adapted to traveling for extended periods in harsh environments. You gain proficiency in Constitution saving throws.

Master Hunter

You have mastered the art of hunting and tracking other creatures. The damage die of your Hunter's Mark increases to a d8. In addition, whenever you cast Hunter's Mark you can modify it so that it does not require Concentration. If you do so, the spells duration becomes 1 minute for this casting.

Nimble Escape

You can swiftly respond to dangerous situations. When you take damage, you can take a Reaction to grant yourself Resistance to that damage and move up to half your Speed without provoking Opportunity Attacks.
