Base Class: Bard
Bards of the College of Harmony are born and refined, but cannot be taught. Unnatural even among their peers, these musicians interpret the magic that permeates the world around them as beats in a story or movements in a song, innately reaponding to shifts in tone, timbre, and timing.
Able to read the flow of events before them like the pages of a book, they serve as intuitive prophets, uncanny warriors, and preemptive protectors. Those who heed their warnings find themselves spared from disaster by a hairbreadth, while their natural ability to interpret the magical intonation of their surroundings leads them to personal prosperity.
Their affinity for determining the significance of events or the eventual climax of a conflict leads them to gather in places of great strife, and such bards can often be found close to areas of distress and upheaval.
Harmonize
When you join the college of Harmony at 3rd level you can no longer be taken unawares by life threatening situations as you listen to the musicality of combat. While conscious you cannot be considered surprised for combat purposes.
Additionally you gain a bonus to your initiative equal to your wisdom modifier. When targeted by a spell or effect that forces you to make a dexterity saving throw you can use your reaction to expend a use of your bardic inspiration and gain advantage on all Dexterity saving throws until the start of your next turn.
In Tune
Also at 3rd level you have advantage on Wisdom (Insight) checks made to determine the truthfulness of other creatures statements.
In addition you are proficient in the Perception skill as your ability to read the story beats or musical intonation of the world around you improves. At level 11 you enhance this ability further, gaining expertise in Perception instead.
Foreshadowing
At 6th level your ability to read the musical patterns underlying the world has advanced to the point that you begin to understand different paths your story may lead. When you finish a long rest you can make 2 predictions regarding events you believe the future holds. If a prediction comes to pass, at the DM's discretion, you refresh one expended use of your bardic inspiration. Instead of regaining bardic inspiration, you can use your reaction to inspire a willing creature within 60 feet of you who is aware of your prediction.
Unexpended uses of this ability and unrealized predictions do not roll over to the following rest. The number of predictions you can make through this feature increases to 3 at 9th level and 4 at 13th level.
Sight Reader
Starting at 14th level you gain the ability to accurately envision your immediate future.
As an action you can cast Foresight targeting only yourself. When cast in this way Foresight has a limited duration of 1 minute. Any bardic inspiration dice you awarded during this time are also rolled with advantage, even after the effect on yourself desists.
Once you use cast Foresight in this way, you can’t do so again until you finish a long rest.
