Wizard
Base Class: Wizard

You have learned magic by trial and -mostly- error. Having found your spellbook and through study and self discipline, you have grasped the basics of magic and very few of its rules.

Look What I Can Do

When you select this school at 2nd level, you gain a cantrip from any class. This counts as a wizard cantrip for you and does not count against your cantrips known

I don't know what I'm doing

At 2nd level, pick two spells that deal damage. When you cast these spells, you roll for the damage type based on the table below. You add one spell to this list at levels 7, 11, 15, and 17.

Roll a d6 if your damage type is on this table.

  1. Fire
  2. Cold
  3. Lightning
  4. Thunder
  5. Acid
  6. Poison

Roll a d4 if your damage type is on this table

  1. Radiant
  2. Psychic
  3. Force
  4. Necrotic

How'd that happen?

Starting at 6th level, you can roll a hit die and regain a spell slot equal to half the roll rounded up. You can spend 2 hit die at a time at level 12, and 3 at level 18. Once you use this feature, you cannot use it again until you complete a long rest.

Wait, what?

Beginning at 10th level, when you spend your last spell slot of 6th level or lower, roll a d6. if the result is the spell's slot level, you cast it one level higher

I did NOT see that coming

Starting at 14th level, when you roll a critical hit with a spell from your "I don't know what I'm doing" feature, the spell overflows. Roll a d4 and apply the effect listed.

  1. All creatures within five feet of the target creature must make a dexterity saving throw against your spell DC or take half damage from the spell.
  2. Roll your spells damage type twice. Deal half of the damage roll in each type.
  3. Gain temporary hit points equal to 3 times the  spell's level
  4. The target creature has vulnerability against the damage type for two rounds
