Druid
Base Class: Druid

One of the most ancient and powerful of all primordial entities was the Titaness Gaia. She and her husband Uranus ruled all of creation during their time. When Cronus enacted his coup, Uranus died and Gaia remade her injured self into the World Tree. A divine testament to the laws of reality. Cronus fed off the tree's power for some time before the olympians took control of the world during Titanomachy.

During the next attempted coup, hermes cut divinity from the world tree, a fatal blow that caused the Walk of the Gods. After order was restored, the cthonic and olympian gods cut the dying world tree down, and a new set a rules was forged in the book made from the wood. This is known as the World Chronicles. While divinity and reality were separated from the World Chronicles entirely, the book itself is a primordial force of nature. It was kept on olympus for a time, but the book refuses to be held by anyone for long, having some minor sense of self.

The druids who draw power from the world chronicles are likely those who worship the old ways of Gaia, or those who are perhaps lucky enough to have even held the book for a time, before it ultimately left on the same wind that carried it to them.

Mother of Earth

When you take this circle at 2nd level, you learn how to weave, earth, stone, tree, mud, and other aspects of nature to your form to protect yourself. You can use an action to call on a veil of nature. Your AC is equal to 15+your proficiency bonus while wearing this veil. You cannot wear armor with this veil, but you can use a shield. The veil lasts until you don armor, or dismiss it with an action, or fall unconscious.

This veil can carry over to your wild shapes, but it is obvious the form is magically enchanted.

Consort of Sky

When you take this circle at 2nd level, you learn the Shillelagh cantrip. This doesn't count against the number of cantrip you know.

  • When you cast Shillelagh, it has the following changes.
  • It lasts until you take a long rest instead of 1 minute.
  • The wood warps and incorporates bone, stone, or other materials to your liking. Choose whether this weapon deals slashing, piercing, or bludgeoning damage. You can recast the spell to change the damage type.
  • It deals an additional 1d8 at 5th level, 11th level, and 17th level.

The World Tree

Starting at 6th level, once per turn, when you hit a creature with a Shillelagh enhanced weapon, you may cast one of your druid spells at the creature you hit. The spell only hits that creature if it would normally hit more targets. Before you roll damage, you can choose to give them disadvantage on the save instead of dealing damage.

Cut Out Divinity

At 10th level, you become more attuned to nature. You aren't affected by difficult terrain or hazards caused by plants, even magical ones. Plant creatures have disadvantage on attack rolls against you. You also resist necrotic damage.

Additionally, when you take damage while you have your veil on, you can break away from your veil to protect yourself using a reaction. You become immune to the triggering damage and any additional effects tied to it, and your veil ends. You cannot reuse this reaction until you take a short or long rest, even if you recast your veil.

Reforged, Rewritten

At 14th level, you become resistant to forces of altering reality. While your veil is up, you cannot be teleported against your will. Additionally while your veil is up, you cannot be charmed, poisoned, petrified, restrained, or grappled.

Additionally, summoning your veil is a bonus action.
