The Oath of the Eclipsing Desire is taken by those who have embraced the power of passion and temptation, channeling divine allure into an art of persuasion, control, and combat. These paladins are both warriors and enchanters, using their radiant presence to inspire devotion and submission. Whether seen as seductive liberators or dominators of the battlefield, they wield their gifts with purpose—be it for pleasure, conquest, or balance.

 

TENETS OF THE ECLIPSING DESIRE

Those who swear this oath embody the dual nature of love and control, seeking both indulgence and devotion from those around them.

  • Irresistible Allure. Your presence is divine temptation; use it to sway hearts, open minds, and bring bliss or surrender to those around you.

  • Pleasure and Pain. Every sensation has its purpose. Use pleasure to soothe, pain to punish, and know when to wield both.

  • Sacred Submission. Power is best exercised through willing devotion. Inspire others to follow you, whether by charm, force, or rapture.

  • The Moon’s Embrace. In darkness, passion flourishes. Let no fear or doubt prevent the fulfillment of your desires or those of your chosen.

Level 3: Channel Divinity

Ecstasy’s Touch

As an action, you can touch a creature and overwhelm them with a wave of euphoric energy. The target must make a Wisdom saving throw against your spell save DC. On a failed save, they are charmed by you for 1 minute, incapacitated by overwhelming pleasure. While charmed in this way, the creature is unaware of its surroundings and can only use its action to revel in bliss. The effect ends if they take damage.

Dominating Presence

As a bonus action, you can unleash an aura of divine temptation for 1 minute. Any hostile creature within 10 feet of you must make a Wisdom saving throw at the start of its turn. On a failed save, it becomes charmed by you until the end of its next turn and cannot target you with attacks or harmful effects.

 

Level 7: Aura of rapturous Embrace

Starting at 7th level, you exude an intoxicating aura that enraptures those near you. When an enemy within 10 feet of you makes a melee attack against you or an ally, they must succeed on a Charisma saving throw against your spell save DC or have disadvantage on the attack. If they fail by 5 or more, they become charmed until the start of their next turn.

At 18th level, this aura extends to 30 feet.

 

Level 15: Temptation's Grasp

At 15th level, your touch can ensnare even the most resistant minds. When you hit a creature with a melee weapon attack, you can force them to make a Wisdom saving throw. On a failed save, they are either charmed or frightened by you (your choice) for 1 minute. They can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of their turns.

Additionally, you gain resistance to psychic damage and cannot be charmed or frightened against your will.

 

Level 20: Divine Temptress Form

At 20th level, you become the embodiment of celestial desire, your form radiating divine allure. Using an action, you undergo a transformation for 1 hour, gaining the following benefits:

  • You shed an aura of enthralling energy in a 30-foot radius. Any creature that starts its turn in the aura must make a Wisdom saving throw or become charmed for 1 minute.

  • You gain a flying speed of 60 feet.

  • When you deal damage to a creature charmed by you, you regain hit points equal to half the damage dealt.

Once you use this feature, you can’t use it again until you finish a long rest.
