Monk
Base Class: Monk

Monks of the Way of the Flowing Water are quick, intense, and powerful. Understanding the intensity and serenity of a river that rages in a storm and calms in the sun that shines through, you are able to make your ki and body more malleable proving that we are ever changing and adapting to our surroundings.

Malleable Movement

Starting when you take this tradition at 3rd level, you are able to move your body more freely than the average warrior. When an opponent makes a grapple check against you, you gain advantage to avoid being grappled.

Additionally, when you are grappled or restrained, you can spend Ki points to automatically escape. 1 Ki point to escape a grapple and 2 Ki points to stop being restrained.

Redirect Flow

Starting at 11th level, you can use your reaction to deflect or catch melee attacks when you are hit by one. When you do so, the damage you take from the attack is reduced by 1d10 + your Dexterity modifier + your monk level.

If you reduce the damage to 0 and the weapon is small enough for you to hold in one hand you may choose to catch the attack. If you catch a strike in this way, you may spend 1 Ki point to make a melee attack with your other hand as part of the same reaction. If the weapon is not small enough for you to catch with one hand, you may instead catch the attack with both hands and spend 1 Ki point to attempt to disarm the attacker.

Split Ki Flow

At 6th level, you are able to separate a bit of your Ki from your physical form and create an illusory image of yourself. As an action you may spend 2 Ki points to cast the spell Mirror Image for up to 1 minute. (PHB. 239)

At 12th level, you are able to use this feature as a bonus action.

Flowing Water Crushing Rock

At 17th level, your body becomes strong and intense like that of a raging river destroying the rocks that attempt to block its flow. By spending 5 Ki points, you are able to increase your AC by your proficiency bonus and add your wisdom modifier to attack rolls and damage rolls until the start of your next turn.
