Bard
Base Class: Bard

(Updated and compatible with 5.5e Rules)

The traditional Bardic Colleges tend to offer a refined insight and expression of the arcane through artistry and creativity. Though these institutions have bred some of the finest artists the world has ever known, such systems have also failed many pupils who may lack a certain poise and technique that is expected of them. These few exiled souls soon congregated to form a faction of their own, one that wasn't tied down by strict rules and policies and that allowed their followers to express all their emotions as they saw fit, aggressive or otherwise. 'Students' of the College of Anarchy channel their rage and charge into battle with untold fury to both light a fire in their allies, and bring forth destruction unto their foes.

Instrument of Chaos

When you join the College of Anarchy at 3rd level, you learn to channel your musical arts into weapons of destruction. You are now proficient with Metal Instruments and also learn how to craft them, and also gain proficiency in medium armor.

Crafting a Metal Instrument takes 4 hours and 20gp worth of materials. The item's appearance can be any instrument of your choice, such as a lute, drum, or lyre. You may also spend the specified time and materials crafting to instead upgrade an instrument you already have, granting it the additional properties of a metal instrument. Metal Instruments function as martial weapons and they may also act as your spellcasting focus, which only you have the ability to use. The item has the Two-Handed property and deals 1d8 bludgeoning, slashing, or piercing damage (your choice upon the crafting the weapon). When you attack with your instrument, you can use your Charisma modifier, instead of Strength, for the attack and damage rolls.

Resonant Fury

Also at 3rd level, when you hit a creature with a weapon attack using your Metal Instrument, you can expend a use of Bardic Inspiration to imbue your blow with a supercharged shockwave. The target take additional thunder or lightning damage equal to two rolls of your Bardic Inspiration and must make a Constitution saving throw or be deafened for one minute. A creature deafened this way may repeat this saving throw at the end of each of their turns. Alternatively, you may expend a spell slot of 2nd Level or higher to use this feature again.

Fearless Determination

At 6th level, your fierce morals have allowed you withstand the false words of others who dare to influence you. You are now immune to the charmed condition and magic that allows others to read your thoughts.

In addition, attacks with your metal instruments count as magical for the purpose of overcoming resistance and immunity to nonmagical attacks and damage.

Undying Flame

Upon reaching 14th level, your music fuels the flames of defiance, refusing to let the battle end.

Weapon attacks made with your Metal Instrument now deals 1d12 damage.

Additionally, when a creature you can see within 30 feet of you would be reduced to 0 hit points, you may expend your reaction to instill them with the fires of rebellion. The chosen creature immediately gains the following benefits:
- They instead drop to 1 hit point.
- They gain temporary hit points equal to 3 rolls of your Bardic Inspiration die.
- They may immediately take an Attack action or move up to your total movement speed without provoking opportunity attacks.

Once you use this feature, you cannot use it again until you finish a long rest or you expend a spell slot of 5th Level or higher.
