Rogue
Base Class: Rogue

Where others may focus on the art of thievery, death, and espionage you turned your attention toward the study of blade and body. You've been caught and jailed, restrained and questioned, ambushed and beat. Overtime, you mastered the art of avoiding sticky fingers and learned that the best way to defend yourself is to become a duelist yourself. A bodyguard, bounty hunter, or criminal often find themselves following the path of a Knave.

Level 3: Slippery Physique

Starting at 3rd level, you have advantage against Dexterity (Acrobatics) checks made to grapple you, and advantage against attempts made to restrain you. If you are grappled or restrained, you are not subject to effects that would apply disadvantage to your attempts to free yourself.

Additionally, you gain proficiency in the Acrobatics skill if you don’t already have it. Your proficiency bonus is doubled for any ability check you make that uses that proficiency.

Level 9: Swordplay Savant

The art of the blade is no stranger to you, those who attempt to strike you down in combat find that is difficult to do, so long as you have a sharp enough eye.

Starting at 9th level, when wielding a melee weapon that you are proficient with and upon when another creature hits you with a melee weapon attack, you may use your reaction to add your Dexterity modifier to your AC for that attack.

You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Dexterity modifier (a minimum of once) and you regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest.

Level 13: Swift Hands

The life of a swordsman isn't an easy one. There are those who seek fame and glory. Those who seek fortune and the benefits of a hired killer. Lastly, those who look to only protect themselves. Whatever the reason may be, each Knave has one thing in common, the need to be the swiftest blade. You have learned the art of striking quickly thus allowing you to slip in another attack on any creature that opposes you.

Starting at 13th level you gain the Extra Attack feature, allowing you attack twice instead of once whenever you take the Attack action on your turn.

You are still only permitted to use Sneak Attack once per turn.

Level 17: Lethal Strike

All of the experience of your past fights has honed your swordplay as well as your subtlety as a Rogue. A well-placed strike can turn the tide of battle. A series of well-placed strikes, on the other hand, could end it entirely. Those that are an archetypal Knave are counted among the deadliest duelists.

Starting at 17th level, you can use Sneak Attack twice per turn when attacking with a melee weapon.

You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Dexterity modifier (a minimum of once) and you regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest.
