Bard
Base Class: Bard

The College of Ink is a secretive, scholarly tradition that believes words hold more power than steel or spell alone. Its bards do not simply perform—they scribe, annotate, and write with enchanted ink and flowing calligraphy. Whether binding an enemy in a contract of silence, animating sketches to life, or weaving words into illusions so potent they blur the line between fiction and truth, these bards wield ink as both weapon and tool.

To a bard of the College of Ink, the pen is truly mightier than the sword, especially when it is infused with magic.

Level 3: Bonus Proficiencies

You gain proficiency with Painter's Supplies and Calligrapher's Supplies.

Level 3: Spellwrought Ink

You gain access to an enchanted quill and inkwell, both infused with arcane power. These tools serve as conduits for your bardic magic, allowing you to weave spells into ink.

Endless Inkwell. While this inkwell is in your possession, it never runs out of ink and produces any color you desire. If it is destroyed or lost, you can enchant a new inkwell during a long rest at no cost.

Scribing Spell Tattoos. Once per long rest, as a magic action, you can expend a spell slot and all necessary components to inscribe a spell onto your skin or the skin of a willing creature, creating a Spellwrought Tattoo of that spell. The tattooed creature may cast that spell as a magic action, using your spell attack modifier, spell save DC, and ignoring material components.
You may only have one Spellwrought Tattoo active at a time, and each tattoo loses its magic the next time your take a Long Rest.

Level 6: Lasting Inspiration

Your mastery over ink allows your magical tattoos to carry not only spells, but also the essence of inspiration itself.

When you inscribe a Spellwrought Tattoo using your Spellwrought Ink, the target also gains a Bardic Inspiration die (of the size granted by your Bardic Inspiration feature).
This Bardic Inspiration die can be used at any time before the spell stored in the tattoo is cast. Once the spell is used, the tattoo fades, and the Bardic Inspiration die is lost if it has not been spent.

Level 14: Living Ink

You learn to transcend physical limitations, embodying the magic of ink itself.

Fluid Form. As a Magic Action, you can dissolve into liquid ink for 1 minute or until you have the Incapacitated condition. For this duration, you can move through small gaps and cracks as if you were amorphous, and you gain resistance to bludgeoning, piercing, and slashing damage.

Once you use this feature, you can’t do so again until you finish a Short or Long Rest.
