Bard
Base Class: Bard

Bards of the College of Dissonance are natural revolutionaries, wielding the power of discordant melodies to disrupt the ordinary and ignite chaos. They inspire rebellion with their riotous performances and infuse their magic with unpredictable energies, leaving a trail of sonic mayhem in their wake.

Counter Cultured

When you join the College of Dissonance at 3rd level, You gain proficiency in two skills of your choice. If you already have proficiency in either skill, you instead gain expertise in that skill.

Additionally, you learn the Vicious Mockery Cantrip, which counts as a bard Cantrip for you but does not count against your total number of Cantrips known.

Disruptive Inspiration

Creatures you have inspired can use a bonus action to expend and roll your Bardic Inspiration die, performing a Disruptive Maneuver. The creature immediately gains temporary hit points equal to the number rolled on the Bardic Inspiration die and chooses one benefit from the following list:

• Revolt: The creature can choose to gain advantage on one attack roll before the end of their next turn. This can be used after determining whether an attack hits or misses.

• Resist: The creature gains additional temporary hit points equal to the roll and has advantage on the next saving throw they make before the end of their next turn.

    • Retort: The creature immediately chooses one creature within 30 ft that can hear them. The target must succeed a Wisdom saving throw (DC = your Bard spell save DC) or take psychic damage equal to the number rolled on the Bardic Inspiration die

Sonic Insurrection

At 6th level, you learn the shatter spell, which counts as a bard spell for you but does not count against the total number of spells you know.

Once per long rest, you can cast the shatter spell at a level equal to your proficiency bonus without expending a spell slot or material components. When you cast the spell in this way, the spell’s area of effect becomes a 10-foot radius emanation originating from you, and you do not take damage from this casting of shatter. All other creatures within the emanation are affected normally.

Anthem of the Outcast

You unleash your ultimate performance, a raw anthem that strips away illusions and inhibitions. Once per long rest, as an action, you can expend a use of your Bardic Inspiration feature to unleash your Personal Anthem. For 1 minute, concentrating as if on a spell, you gain the following benefits:

• Hostile creatures have disadvantage on saving throws against Bard spells you cast

  • You have advantage on ability checks as well as constitution saving throws you make to maintain your concentration on this effect.

• When a creature expends and rolls one of your Bardic Inspiration dice, roll the die twice, taking the higher result.

• You and allied creatures that can hear you within 30 ft gain immunity to becoming Charmed or Frightened, as well as the effects of the Silence spell. If an allied creature enters the area while affected, the effect is suppressed while they remain in range and can hear you.
