Base Class: Monk

Warriors of the Squared Circle are professional fighters used to combatting each other in a ring. They learn techniques to protect themselves and deal devastating blows to their enemies.

Level 3: Clinch

Whenever you are the target of a melee attack, you may expend your reaction to Clinch, attempt to grapple the target before damage happens.

If the target of your Clinch is the same size as you or smaller, they are unable to make attack actions until they are able to break free from the grapple.

Level 6: Perfect Guard

When you end your turn you may expend 1 ki point to raise your arms and protect yourself.

Until the start of your next turn you reduce damage done to you by one Martial Arts die. This reduction in damage applies to each instance of damage you take, damage cannot be reduced below 0.

Level 11: Fists of Iron

When dealing damage with an Unarmed Strike using your Martial Arts die, you now add both your Strength and Dexterity modifiers to the damage dealt.

Level 17: Heavyweight Champion of the World

You are the pound for pound number one boxer in the world, you can the following benefits:

  • If you are the target of a melee attack whilst under the effects of Perfect Guard, you may make an Unarmed Strike in retaliation. This requires no action and cannot be modified by Ki points.
  • When you kill or knock a target unconscious, all hostile creatures within a 15ft radius sphere must make a DC 18 Wisdom save, on a failure they become frightened of you until the end of your next turn.
  • On a successful Clinch, you now make one Unarmed Strike as part of the action.
  • When reduced to 0 hitpoints, fall prone and roll a d20. On any result below or equal to 9 you regain 1 hitpoint and stand back up.
  • When at 0 hitpoints and you stabilize, regain 1 hitpoint and stand up.
