Base Class: Rogue
In the shadowed alleys and high-rise rooftops of the dystopian city of Garrop teeming with rogue mages and magical horrors, the Specter Operatives are the elite counter-magic forces. Trained as long-range assassins and infiltration experts, they use advanced firearms, bows, and crossbows to eliminate magical threats with ruthless precision. Armed with specially designed mage-slaying munitions, advanced tactical training, and an understanding of arcane warfare, they are the silent specters of the battlefield, striking down enemies before they can utter a spell
Level 3: Phantom Shot
Your training lets you strike with pinpoint accuracy and bypass magical defenses.
- When you attempt to hit a creature with a ranged weapon attack, you can ignore half cover and three-quarters cover.
- If the target has temporary hit points or a magical shield effect (like Mage Armor or Shield), you deal bonus damage equal to your Sneak Attack dice (If you have 2 sneak attacks dice you deal 2 damage extra etc.).
- When you use your Sneak Attack with a ranged weapon, you can choose to make it a Silenced Shot, preventing the target from perceiving where the attack came from unless they succeed on a DC = 8 + your Dexterity modifier + your Proficiency Bonus Perception check.
Level 9: Arcane Disruptor Rounds
You gain access to specialized anti-magic ammunition, allowing you to counteract spellcasters from a distance.
- When you hit a creature concentrating on a spell, it has disadvantage on its concentration check.
- As a Reaction you can make an opportunity attack to a creature which is attempting to cast a spell within line of sight and within range of your currently equipped ranged weapon.
- When you hit a creature casting a spell, they make a Constitution saving throw (DC = 8 + your Dexterity modifier + your Proficiency Bonus). On a failure, they lose the spell without effect.
- Your ranged weapon attacks count as magical for the purpose of overcoming resistances.
Level 13: Kill Zone Mastery
Your advanced training allows you to control an entire battlefield with sniper precision.
- Overwatch Stance: As a Bonus Action, you enter a stance for 1 minute where you can make Opportunity Attacks with ranged weapons against enemies within your weapon’s normal range.
- Marked for Termination: Once per turn, when you hit a creature with a ranged weapon, you can mark them for execution. The next time they are hit by an attack, they take bonus damage equal to half your Rogue level.
- Armor-Piercing Round: If you hit a creature with natural armor or wearing armor with a ranged attack, they take an additional 1d6 damage, and their AC is reduced by 1 until the end of your next turn.
Level 17: Deadeye Specter
You have become the ultimate anti-magic executioner, feared by rogue spellcasters and supernatural entities alike.
- Mage Slayer’s Precision: Your ranged attacks now ignore resistance to nonmagical damage and deal full damage to creatures with magical resistance(s).
- Perfect Assassination: If you hit a surprised creature with a ranged weapon attack, it automatically becomes a critical hit. If that target is concentrating on a spell, it immediately fails its concentration check.
- Ethereal Step: You can use your Bonus Action to become invisible until the start of your next turn, or until you make an attack. You can use this a number of times equal to your Dexterity modifier per long rest.
