Base Class: Barbarian
A marching legion moves to the wardrummer's beat. You are a conductor of violence, heralding glorious, bloody victory with each note struck. Melding thunderous song, drum, or horn with the ferocious bite of steel, your rage becomes less an outpouring of anger, and more an unleashing of the spirit of rhythm within.
Level 3: Learn the Rhythm
At 3rd level, you gain proficiency in three instruments of your choice.
Additionally, when you play an instrument, you can choose to expend one use of your Rage feature. As long as you continuing playing, using your Action to do so, you can sustain this Rage for up to 1 hour. While you are Raging in this way, you can add your Rage damage bonus as a bonus to Charisma (Performance) skill checks.
Level 3: Deathly Tempo
Also at 3rd level, you've begun to learn the art of using the rhythm of the battlefield to your advantage. While you are raging, once you hit a creature with a melee attack, a counter begins. For each of your melee attacks that hits any creature in succession after the first, your rage damage bonus increases by 1, to a maximum of +10. After you reach +10, or if you miss, the counter resets and your rage damage returns to normal.
Level 6: Step in Time
When you reach 6th level, each time a hostile creature takes a Move action, you can move 5 feet in the same direction as that creature without expending any of your movement.
Level 10: Valor Song
By 10th-level, your spirited music is able to rally your allies and encourage them to victory. After you begin your Rage, you can use your bonus action to start a Valor Song. Your rage cannot end while you are singing. On the turn you start the Song, and on each subsequent turn you sustain it with your bonus action, you and any allies within 30 feet of you that can hear you gain temporary hit points equal to your current Rage damage bonus. You can grant no more temporary hit points than twice your Barbarian level to any one creature per short or long rest. Once this maximum has been reached, the Valor Song ends, unless you choose to end it early as a bonus action.
Level 14: Final Crescendo
At 14th level, your mastery over the ebb and flow of a battle allows you to deal finishing blows at the perfect moment. Whenever your Deathly Tempo counter would increase your Rage damage bonus to +10 for your next attack, if that attack hits, you can choose to Paralyze the target until the start of your next turn instead of dealing any additional Rage damage.
