Fighter
Base Class: Fighter

Once, you fought with honor. Once, you believed in the strength of your cause. But those days are gone, shattered like the blade you now wield. You have reforged yourself from the ashes of failure and betrayal, binding your broken weapon to your very soul. Where once you sought glory, now you seek redemption—or perhaps retribution.

As a Blade of the Exile, your weapon is more than steel and edge—it is a manifestation of your inner strength and the resolve that refuses to break. Through relentless training and raw willpower, you have learned to channel that inner strength into fast, fluid strikes, moving with the speed and precision of a seasoned blade master.

Yet power alone is not enough. The path of the Blade of the Exile is one of self-mastery. Your weapon, though broken, holds hidden potential—power you must awaken through combat and bloodshed. When you reach the height of your strength, you will unlock the full potential of your reforged blade, becoming an unstoppable force of lethal grace and deadly power.

You are the storm and the calm before it. You are the blade that breaks others. You are the exile, bound to the weight of your past and driven by the promise of redemption.

You will benefit the most from Strength, Dexterity, and Constitution.

Level 3: Reforged Weapon

Starting at 3rd level, you gain a special, reforged weapon. A broken blade that resonates with your soul. You have proficiency with this weapon, counts as Light and it is a Martial Weapon. You cannot use Reforge Blade's attacks if you have a Two-Handed Weapon equipped. (Or at least please don't for thematic purposes).

The weapon deals 1d8+(STR/DEX modifier) Slashing Damage and while wielding your Reforged Blade:

  • Can move 5 feet of distance after each attack or spell without provoking opportunity attacks and ignoring difficult terrain.
  • After an attack with Reforged Blade, you can roll again once per turn for an additional 1d4 Force Damage.
  • After an attack with Reforged Blade, gain 1 charge of Rune Conduit for use in other abilities. Gain 1 + your Constitution Modifier worth of charges.

Rune Ability - Broken Wings:

Leap into the air and deal a shattering blow, potentially stunning the target. Uses 2 Rune Conduit charges.

Damage for all abilities above increases based on Fighter levels 7, 10, 15 and 18 and are shown on each Action's description.

Level 7: Valor

Your courage in battle can be focused into your Reforged Blade's runes.

Upon reaching 7th level gain a new Bonus Action. As a Bonus Action, gain the ability to Dash up to 15ft and gain 2d4+2 worth of temporary hit points.

You have 2 charges which recharge after each long rest.

Hit points increases at levels 10 (2d4+4), 15 (3d4+4), and 18 (3d4+6).

Level 10: Empowered Runes

Starting at the 10th level gain the following:

You can channel your fury through for runes, gaining a new Rune Ability - Runic Burst:

As a Spell Action, deal 2d8 Force Damage in a 5ft radius circle around you. Targets must roll a 14 DC Dexterity Save to avoid being stunned. On a successful save, they take half damage (rounded up). This ability uses 2 Rune Conduit charges.

In addition, gain Awakened Runes:

As a new Bonus Action, you can empower your blade to it's complete form. Each attack or spell in this form deals an additional 1d6 Force Damage, even on miss (Effect can be applied along with Runic Edge). This effect lasts for the remainder of your turn and 2 charges are granted per Long Rest.

Damage and effects for both abilities above increases based on Fighter levels 15 and 18 and are shown on each Action's description.

Level 15: Wind Slash

Starting at the 15th level, your link to your Reforged Weapon grows stronger, unlocking a new powerful ability, Wind Slash

Once per Long Rest you can fire a wave of energy as a Bonus Action Ranged Spell that hits in 45ft cone in front of you, dealing 2d8+8 Force Damage. If a target is already below 16 Hit Points, they are slain immediately. Enemies hit must roll a 15 DC Dexterity save for half damage taken. Damage increases with Constitution Modifiers.

Damage increases at level 18 (3d8+12).

Unleashed Runes

Starting at the 18th level, your link to your Reforged Weapon has reached greater heights. You can now choose between two different abilities for your Rune Conduit charges.

Carve

When you make a attack with your Reforged Weapon, you can expend a Rune Conduit Charge to ignore 5 Armor Class from the target. This effect cannot reduce the target's Armor Class below 15.

Ravenous

Can expend 2 Rune Conduit charges to gain Hit Points equal to 10 + your Constitution Modifier. Doing this deals 2d6 of Force Damage to a enemy of choosing in Melee Range.
