Paladin
Base Class: Paladin

Oath of the Undying Paladins were sworn to uphold the following values

Duty to Protect Souls. Every soul, regardless of its status in life, deserves protection, defend souls from being twisted, trapped, or torn from their natural course.

Mastery Over Death. Death is a tool, not an end. Command death, to shape it to your will and use it as a means to change the world.

Champion of the Forgotten. The dead, though passed from this world, are not to be forgotten. Ensure their deeds and sacrifices are honored, and that their memory is preserved.

Channel Divinity

Cadaver Cloak. At 3rd level you become wreathed in an ominous, mystical aura. This lasts for 1 minute, after that you take a level of Exhaustion.

You gain an additional 1d6 Necrotic damage to all weapon or unarmed attacks.

Within 15 ft. of you, any creature of your choice, is Frightened once they enter, or are Frightened immediately if already within 15 ft. and you activate this feature. Additionally, any creature of your choice takes 1d4 + your CHA modifier.

Imbibe of the Soul. As a Bonus Action when you use your Channel Divinity you can place a curse on a creature within 10 ft. of you. The creature gets a disadvantage of all attack rolls against you, until the creature's hit points reach 0.

Aura of Preservation

Starting at 7th level, friendly creatures within 10 ft. of you when reaching 0 hit points, they instead go down to 1 as long as you are conscious, this does use up a Death Saving roll.

At 18th level, the range of this aura increases to 30 feet.

Being of Undeath

At 15th level, Your connection to undeath and necrotic energy now nourishes your body. You have resistance to necrotic damage.

In addition, when Channel Divinity: Cadaver Cloak ends its time limit, you can instead choose to erupt with deathly energy in a powerful blast. Each creature in a 30 ft. Cone takes necrotic damage equal to 2d10 + your Paladin level. You then gain 1 level of exhaustion. Additionally, whenever you end your Cadaver Cloak normally without exploding into necrotic energy, you do not gain a level of Exhaustion.

Monument of Terror

At 20th level, you manifest an aspect of your dreadful power. As a bonus action, you transform for 1 minute. You gain the following benefits while transformed:

  • You gain temporary hit points equal to 1d12 + your Paladin level.
  • Once during each of your turns, when you hit a creature with an attack, you can force it to make a Charisma saving throw, and if the saving throw fails, the target is frightened of you until the end of your next turn.
  • You are immune to the frightened condition and Necrotic damage.
  • You gain 60 ft. of True Sight
  • You can choose to become a Large creature or not.

You can transform a number of times equal to your Charisma modifier, and you regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest.
