Monks of the Way of the Eternal God often speak little of their training, as the subtleties of their art can be difficult for outsiders to understand. Their teachings are founded on patience, meditation, and the careful alignment of mind and body with the celestial order of the universe. Through intense mental focus, a monk of the Eternal God can see beyond the present, tapping into a divine understanding of what has been and what will be.

Their combat style is unlike any other. They move with the grace of those who have seen the future, striking before their enemies even know they are under threat. Their strikes, while physically devastating, are also metaphysical in nature, reverberating with the forces of destiny itself. Their connection to the eternal cycle grants them the ability to transcend death and to momentarily step outside the flow of time, acting when others are still unaware of what is to come.

Divine Insight

 At 3rd level, you gain the ability to momentarily glimpse into the future. As a bonus action, you can gain advantage on one attack roll. You must finish a short or long rest before using this feature again.

Temporal Step

 At 6th level, you can use your action to step momentarily out of time. As part of your movement, you can spend 1 ki point to move without provoking opportunity attacks, and you can move through other creatures and objects as if they were difficult terrain. This effect lasts until the end of your turn.

Your movement speed is doubled until the end of your turn

Eternal Rebirth

 At 11th level, you can cheat death once per long rest. If you are reduced to 0 hit points, you may spend 3 ki points as a reaction to instead drop to 1 hit point. This feature represents your connection to the eternal cycle of life and death, allowing you to defy the natural end of your life.

Divine Time Manipulation

 At 17th level, you can manipulate time itself in the heat of battle. As an action, you may spend 5 ki points to slow or accelerate time in a 30-foot radius around you. For 1 minute, all creatures within the area of effect have their movement speed halved, and creatures of your choice within this area cannot take reactions. Additionally, you may take an additional turn at the beginning of the round. This ability can be used once per long rest.
