Rogue
Base Class: Rogue

There are killers, and then there are predators. You are the latter. Trained in the art of precise and merciless execution, you have learned to stalk your prey through shadow and water, striking only when the time is right — and when the outcome is certain. Blood in the water is not just a sign of weakness — it’s an invitation.

Those who follow the path of the Tide Reaper are feared not just for their skill with a blade, but for their instinct. You can feel the pulse of life within your prey, sense the fragile line between survival and death, and sever it with surgical precision. Your strikes are not wild or desperate — they are the calculated movements of a predator who knows exactly how much force to apply and when.

You benefit most from Dexterity then Constitution as well at level 17.

Level 3: Ghostwater Stalker

Starting at 3rd level. You have learned to harness the essence of shadow and water to stalk your prey unnoticed.

  • Ghostwater Dive – As a bonus action, you can slip into the shadows like water, becoming partially ethereal. Until the start of your next turn, you gain the following benefits:
    • You become invisible to all targets further than 15ft away.
    • You can dash without provoking opportunity attacks. Dash distance is equal to: (Dexterity Modifier * 5) + (Proficiency * 5) + 5
    • You can move through creatures and difficult terrain without expending extra movement.

You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Proficiency Bonus per long rest.

In addition, passively gain 60ft of dark vision and swim speed equal to walking speed.

Level 9: Spectral Harpoon

Starting at the 9th level. You have refined your ability to impale enemies with deadly precision.

  • Spectral Harpoon: As an action, you can make a melee weapon attack against a creature within 30 feet by launching a spectral harpoon. If hit, the target must succeed on a Strength saving throw of (8+ Proficiency + Dexterity Modifier) or be pulled 20 feet toward you and knocked prone.
  • Has (Dexterity Modifier + Proficiency) to hit and deals (2d6 + your Dexterity Modifier) Piercing Damage.
  • If the creature is reduced to 0 hit points by this attack, you regain a use of Ghostwater Dive and can take an additional Bonus Action.
  • You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Proficiency Bonus per long rest.

Damage increases at levels 13 (3d6), 15 (3d6+3) and 17 (4d6+3).

Level 13: Death From Below

Starting at the 13th level. You have mastered the art of execution, striking down weakened enemies with deadly efficiency.

Death From Below - When you attack a creature and it is reduced to or below a hit point threshold, you can immediately execute it, reducing it's Hit Points to 0 instantly. The threshold equals 8 + your Dexterity modifier + your Proficiency Bonus and is shown as a STR save on the ability. Gain 2 uses per Long Rest. When you execute an enemy, you gain the following benefits:

  • You regain one use of Ghostwater Dive.
  • You and one ally who last damaged the target before execution receive gold equal to 2 × the creature's Challenge Rating (minimum 10 gp).

The sea has also blessed you with the ability to sense weakness in a creature as though it were blood in the water.
Shark Senses - You can sense the hit points of any creature within 30 feet of you that is below 28 hit points. You know the exact amount of hit points they currently have and if they are within your execution threshold (determined by your Death from Below ability).

In addition, gain the 10 additional feet of movement.

Gains one additional use at level 17.

Level 17: Gift of the Drowned Ones

Starting at the 17th level. You have embraced the dark blessing of the depths, gaining the ability to draw strength from the blood you spill and the shadows you inhabit. Gain the following:

Dark Restoration: While you are unseen and in combat (invisible, hidden, or obscured by dim light or darkness), you can passively regenerate health. At the start of each of your turns while unseen, you regain hit points equal to your Proficiency Bonus + 2d4 until you reach a cap equal to your Rogue level + your Constitution modifier × 3 + 12.

Night Stalker: When you successfully execute a creature using Death from Below, you immediately enter Ghostwater Dive as part of the execution, without expending a use of the ability. In addition, after entering Ghostwater Dive, your next weapon attack that hits before the end of your next turn deals an additional 2d6+4 psychic damage as the cursed waters of the depths lash through your target's mind.
