Base Class: Fighter
Snake Breathing is a style of precision and unpredictability. Its strikes come from angles the eye can't follow—twisting, weaving, and coiling around the opponent's guard to deliver deadly blows when they least expect them.
Twisting Blade Style
Your strikes are as unpredictable as a serpent’s lunge.
-
Once per turn, when you make a melee weapon attack, you can force the target to make a Dexterity saving throw (DC = 8 + proficiency + Dex modifier).
-
On a failed save, the target’s AC is reduced by 2 against your next attack before the end of your next turn.
Serpentine Movement
You slither through battle with uncanny motion.
-
You can move through hostile creatures' spaces as if they were difficult terrain.
-
When you move through a creature’s space, it has disadvantage on opportunity attacks against you for the rest of the turn.
Binding Strike
Your attacks begin to constrict.
-
When you hit a creature with a melee weapon attack, you can attempt to bind them with your blade.
-
The target must succeed on a Strength saving throw (DC = 8 + proficiency + Dex modifier) or be grappled by your weapon (you must maintain one hand on it).
-
While grappled this way, they have disadvantage on attack rolls against targets other than you.
You can use this feature Dex modifier times per long rest.
Shedding Skin
You can escape harm like a serpent shedding its skin.
-
When you are hit by an attack, you can use your reaction to reduce the damage by half and immediately move up to 10 feet away without provoking opportunity attacks.
You can use this feature proficiency bonus times per long rest.
Forked Fang Assault
You strike twice in rapid succession with serpentine grace.
-
When you take the Attack action, you can designate one attack as a Forked Fang:
-
You make two separate attack rolls for the same weapon strike. If either hits, the attack connects.
-
On a hit, the target takes an extra 2d6 piercing damage as the strike weaves through armor seams.
-
You can use this feature once per turn.
Final Form: Serpent’s Dance – Constriction Spiral
You move in a hypnotic spiral, binding and striking with overwhelming speed.
-
As an action, you move up to your speed, weaving through up to three creatures’ spaces.
-
For each, make a melee weapon attack. On hit, the creature takes extra 4d8 piercing damage and must make a Strength saving throw (DC = 8 + proficiency + Dex mod) or be restrained by your binding technique until the end of their next turn.
You can use this feature once per long rest.
