Base Class: Bard
The College of Salt involves the time-honored tradition of insult and mockery to the point that your opponent's very soul is wounded with the awareness of their own inadequacies. Sometimes this is done by scathing satirical songs, odes to their flaws, or just a perfectly delivered burn. The performance of a bard who studies the College of Salt invokes laughter and playfulness, but can also deeply wound those who cannot laugh at themselves.
Level 3: The Deep Bite
You add the cantrip Vicious Mockery to your list of cantrips if you don't already have it. If you already have it, you may choose any other Bard cantrip.
You always have the spells Silvery Barbs and Crown of Madness prepared.
Whenever you damage a creature with a spell from the Enchantment school, you add your Charisma modifier to the damage dealt.
Level 3: The Sublime Burn
You use your quick wit and keen insight to add insult to injury. Whenever you make an weapon or unarmed attack, you can speak a cutting insult that directly hurts the mind of your enemy. Spend one use of your Bardic Inspiration to add 2d6 Psychic Damage to the weapon damage. This also exposes the enemies weaknesses and any ally who attacks that enemy has Advantage on the attack until the beginning of your next turn.
Level 6: Pithy Parry
You are dangerous with weapon and word.
Whenever you take an Attack action on your turn, you can deal an additional 1d6 psychic damage by making a cutting insult infused with arcane power. This damage increases to 1d8 at level 10 and 1d10 at level 14. In addition to the additional damage, the target of your attack cannot use any Reactions until the beginning of your next turn.
Level 14: I'm Rubber, You're Glue
You laugh off damage and insult, becoming an unflappable juggernaut.
When you are hit with a melee attack, you can expend one use of Bardic Inspiration; roll the Bardic Inspiration die and subtract the number rolled from the opponent's damage. That negated damage is redirected back at your attacker as you turn their strengths against them. While within 30 feet of you, any ally who has received a Bardic Inspiration die from you may use it in the same manner.
