Base Class: Bard
The College of Flair is the home of bards who subscribe to the notion of "find out who you are, and do it on purpose." Flair Bards are confident and unapologetic about their presence, often winning over skeptics with their natural charms and caring hearts. These bards are resourceful, oftentimes doing more with less, and managing to wrangle together a warm and joyful hearth, cozy yet fashionable clothes, and a spirited travel song on a cloudy day.
Coat of Many Colors
3rd-level College of Flair feature
You're skilled in the art of upcycling, and always make the most of what others would turn their noses up at. A trip to the bargain store and a little love is all you need to make a striking gift for someone. Gain proficiency in weaver's tools. You can create a spectacular piece of clothing from something ragged and plain, using notes of magic you weave from your instrument. Choose any mundane article of clothing, whether it be a hat, a pair of gloves, a cloak, etc., and enchant it with one of the following abilities. The enchantment stays until you choose to disenchant the item. A creature can benefit from only one of your enchanted items of clothing at a time. The number of articles of clothing you can enchant increases to 2 at level 6, and 3 at level 14. New enchantments unlock at level 14 as well.
Backwoods Beauty
Imbue an article of clothing with the ability to warp the wearer's features once a day. A creature can call on your generosity and desire for them to look their best to cast the Disguise Self spell once per long rest. While under the effects of a Disguise Self spell from this item, the wearer has advantage on Charisma-based skill checks.
Blessed With A Kiss
There's only one person able to charm your friends, and that's you! You sew love into every stitch on this article of clothing. The wearer of this clothing is immune to the Charmed and Frightened condition.
Good Luck and Happiness
You made this clothing to bring the wearer good luck, even on rainy days. You sew into it one of your Bardic Inspirations; you temporarily reduce the number of Bardic inspirations you can spend per long rest while an article of clothing with this enchantment exists. When the wearer would fail an ability check, they can use their reaction to expend the Bardic Inspiration in this way. The Bardic Inspiration is only expended if the roll becomes a success. Once expended, the Bardic Inspiration replenishes on a long rest.
Guts and Talent
You may think you have more guts than you have talent, but that counts for more than its fair share when you're trying to keep your friends' strength up. A creature wearing this article of clothing has advantage on concentration checks.
Available at level 14.
Mama Always Said...
You have a wealth of information and skills available to you, from growing up in a household that relied on their own resourcefulness, and from having to rely on yourself more often than not. Now, you can spread those helpful skills around and make someone else's day a little brighter. When the wearer makes an ability check, one of your handy little adages comes to their mind; they can add your proficiency bonus to that roll, whether or not you or the creature is proficient in that skill. They can use this feature a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus.
Available at level 14.
Never Keep Us Down
A creature who is wearing one of your Coats of Many Color knows they are cherished by you, and is bolstered by your friendship. While wearing this article of clothing, you can grant an ally the same boundless confidence that you greet life with. For one hour, the creature may treat a roll on an ability check they are proficient in as a 10 on the die, if they rolled lower. This feature can be activated once per long rest.
Available at level 14.
Do The Best We Can
3rd-level College of Flair feature
At 3rd level, when a creature uses one of your Bardic Inspiration die, the creature can pass it on to an ally they can see within 30 feet. Each Bardic Inspiration die can only be passed on once in this way, before the magic stretches too thin. A creature can only benefit from one Bardic Inspiration die at a time.
Level 6: Hold The World's Attention
6th-level College of Flair feature
You learn two spells of your choice, from the School of Enchantment. A spell you choose must be a cantrip or a spell for which you have spell slots, as shown on the Bard table. You always have the chosen spells prepared, and whenever you gain a Bard level, you can replace one of the spells with another spell that meets the requirements above. For these chosen spells, if they require a saving throw, you make choose to force the target to use a Charisma saving throw.
Eyes of Emerald Green
6th-level College of Flair feature
You have always made an effort to look your best, and now it comes second nature to you to present your best face to the world. Your appearance arrests people in their tracks, and when you share your smile with them, your genuine cheer disarms them. When you fix them with your steely gaze, their shame boils hot under their skin.
As an action, you can affix one creature you can see with a dazzling smile. The target must succeed a Charisma saving throw or be paralyzed under your gaze for one minute. The target may repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns. Once you affect a creature with your stare in this way, you can't use this feature again until you finish a short rest. Creatures immune to the Charm condition are unaffected by your smile.
In addition, you can show your disappointment in a creature acting against your hospitality and upbringing by shooting them a glare heated enough to melt them under their sudden chagrin. When an ally within 60 feet of you who is wearing your Coat of Many Colors or who has one of your bardic inspirations from any source is hit with an attack, you can use your reaction to force the attacker to make a Charisma saving throw or take fire damage in the amount they dealt. You must be able to see the attacker, and it must be able to see you. Once you shame a creature in this way, you can't use this feature until you finish a short rest.
Service and Devotion
14th-level College of Flair feature
It's a full-time job, taking care of your friends and family! Your community is what keeps you going, and some days it feels like you're the only thing keeping your community going. But that's okay, because after all, you and your friends are in the same boat here. You gain proficiency in one skill and one tool set of your choice, from learning from your friends and building on your resourcefulness to keep them going.
As a bonus action, you can teleport yourself or a willing ally within 60 feet of you to appear next to another ally within 60 feet of you who is being threatened, in an open space of your choosing. If you do, the teleported creature may take their reaction to make a melee attack against the creature that is threatening them, and you may grant them a Bardic Inspiration as part of the same bonus action. You can use this feature a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, and regain all expended uses on a long rest.
