Barbarian
Base Class: Barbarian

Barbarians that follow the Path of the Tranquil Soul rarely fit the normal appearance of a barbarian – rather than flying spittle and shouted war cries, they appear eerily calm as they pummel their foes. Rather than burning rage, it is icy fury that drives them, a deeper control and direction of the violence and wild anger in their souls. Make no mistake, they are as dangerous as any other of their craft, but can seem almost apathetic in the midst of combat.

Level 3: Icy Focus

Yours is a path that prizes discipline and focus. At 3rd level when you adopt this path, you can use a rage charge to gain advantage on WIS-based skill checks for one hour.

Level 3: Battlefield Awareness

Your tempered rage allows you to be more conscious of the situation around you. You can pick out paths through difficult terrain that allow you to move through it without movement penalties.

Level 6: Cunning Parry

Beginning at 6th level, enhanced situational awareness grants you sharpened reflexes and the ability to seize on openings provided by your opponent’s mistakes. While raging, add your INT modifier to your AC. As a reaction while raging, when a creature misses you with a melee attack you can make a melee weapon attack against the creature. You can take this action a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, and you regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest.

Level 6: Encouraging Destroyer

Your presence bolsters the confidence of your friends and allies. Starting at 6th level, up to 1d6 allied creatures within 60 feet who can see you has advantage against being frightened or charmed while you’re raging. If an allied creature who can see you is charmed or frightened when you enter your rage, the effect is suspended for the duration of the rage.

Level 10: Vicious Retribution

Beginning at 10th level, if an enemy strikes you, any further successful melee attacks you make against that enemy carry your wrath back at them. Roll an extra weapon damage die for each successful attack the enemy has made against you.

Level 10: Tactical Advance

Harnessing your rage allows you to close with your enemy all the faster. Beginning at 10th level, you can take the Dash action as a bonus action while you are raging. Your movement for that turn does not provoke Opportunity Attacks.

Level 14: Tempered Mind, Strengthened Body

Your controlled rage dulls pain, sharpens your focus, and grants you ever-greater might. Starting at 14th level, you can expend hit die to reduce damage taken.

Level 14: Inner Peace

At 14th level, your tranquil fury allows you to proceed calmly through even the most perilous of circumstances. You are immune to being charmed or frightened. Additionally, if you maintain a rage for fewer than three rounds of combat, it does not count against your total number of rages per long rest.
